Chase & Hayley
Chase and Hayley were originally to be married in Washington, GA but plans changed due to Covid-19 and they still got married in Washington on paper but wanted to celebrate a destination wedding/elopement type day with their families to do the ceremony and photos with everyone which we are all for! We made our way down to Tybee for the day and met them at the venue. The first to arrive were the groom’s father and grandfather from Florida so we got to get to know them a little bit and how interesting of a career his grandfather had in technology for rockets and had some great stories to share while we waited. Once everyone showed up, the decorations went up very quickly since they only had the venue reserved for a few hours and then everyone got ready in their provided rooms. One of their favorite things about this venue was the ballroom downstairs so Morgan took some of the bridal details down there as I photographed the last bit of Hayley putting her earrings in and the guys getting ready quickly. Once she came back up and the last few touches were finished for the bride getting ready, we hopped straight into lineup outside for the ceremony and they made their down the aisle. One of our favorite parts of the ceremony was the handwritten vows and Chase had written his down on the receipt for their first ever date that he kept all this time which was so special and he also had a few great one liners that made everyone laugh. Once they finished their vows and exchanged rings, they kissed before walking back up the aisle together with their family just behind them.
As soon as that was done they got ready to head downstairs for their first dance in the grand ballroom (which is stunning might we add). As they came down the stairs and danced surrounded by their closest family and friends, joy filled the room and their officiant even ended the dance with a little bit of violin for them. After they finished, we setup a generational photo for the girls and their rings just before heading back out to the front steps for some more group photos. A few of them were more of the bridal party photos and we also did another generational type photo of all of the married couples together there. As we finished up the last bit of the group photos, everyone was saying bye since the next group was coming into the chapel shortly and some had a far drive back home. Once they said their goodbyes or made plans for where to meet after, we went behind the building to this romantic garden area that they have with the newlyweds for some couples portraits and we of course had to throw in some veil tosses! Once we finished all of that and a few bridal portraits there, we ended off the day saying bye and congratulating them on their marriage and headed our separate ways. We loved getting to take an adventurous day with this couple and their family and absolutely cannot wait to see what is in store for them!
