Garrett & Lindsey

Not only did we love this wedding day as our last wedding of 2021, we got to work with some of our favorite vendors and an amazing couple. It took place at SRP Park in North Augusta, SC and we got to work with H|A Wedding Planner for the first time even though we’ve known and wanted to work with her for a while.

The wedding day itself started with us parking in a parking garage and finding the correct entrance to get to the room the girls were getting ready in and grab all of the details we needed to photograph. Once we got there and said hey and grabbed the details, Heather showed us the layout of the wedding day and we made our way down to the where the ceremony would be held (3rd base area), and Morgan got started on the details while I helped our third shooter Tom get into the park as well as go meet up with the guys and have Garrett read his private vows for the highlight film. Once we finished that we took the Father of the Bride over to the front gate for his first look with his Daughter. Once he was in place, Lindsey started coming around the corner so we got them in place before backing off and letting them have the moment which ended up being a lot less about the words and more about the tears and hugs and made for a great moment where her Sister and Mom were even tearing up behind us watching. From there we went straight to get Garrett in place out on the field for their first look as well and I mic’d him up quickly then we made our way out of the tunnel onto the field and had him facing away and swapped sides for them so we could get everything with the stands in the background. Once he turned around, he kept smiling and holding his Bride to be. Once they had finished their moment together, we started taking a little more posed photos and also got the wedding party onto the field to get their photos. Before we knew it, guests started showing up so we needed to hide everyone away to line up for the ceremony. We were worried about the chance of rain that we had but it held off through the entire ceremony until we got to the reception but, it did start to get cloudy half way into the ceremony. Once everyone was in place and found their seat, the music started and they all made their way down. Garrett and the officiant came out of the tunnel onto the field after the first few family members were seated and then the wedding party came out. The Bride and her Dad shared one last private hug before it was their turn to go down the stairs and the smiles they shared in the little bit of space before the stairs were so sweet. Once they made it to the stairs, I grabbed a few photos of them going down from behind before getting out of the way for Tom and Morgan to get their shots as well while I checked on the extra camera recording the ceremony quickly before returning to photograph the hand off. The ceremony itself was fairly short and sweet with a beautiful moment of communion as their first act as a married couple which we always love. Once they made everything official and finished communion, they went into a cool and elaborate hand shake before sharing their first kiss. Once they made their way up the stairs, we had some more family photos to do so we got a few that we didn’t get before the ceremony on the field and then one more with Lindsey’s Grandmother up the stairs before heading off to the reception.

Now that it was time for the reception and we had already sent Tom off to photograph everything before guests arrived, we could hop straight into it pretty quick but had to wait and get the guests out on the tent covered patio for the announcements. It was about this time that the sky started falling and the tent was shaking which made us nervous but, luckily it was tied down super well. Everyone came out with a little dance and surrounded the dance floor as the newlyweds started their first dance. It was so sweet and we love getting to shoot inside of White tents because it helps bounce our flash super well and we have a lot of flexibility with that. They also did the Father Daughter dance where Lindsey’s Dad picked her up at one point and it was super sweet. Then the Mother and Son dance which was also super sweet. Once all of the dances were finished, it was time for everyone to eat so we all went inside for the blessing and a quick speech. After dinner, we walked around with the couple table to table to take some photos and then there were toasts before they signed the marriage license. At this point, it became party time and we had already done the cake cutting so, everyone made their way outside to dance or watch but, it was a ton of fun even with the rain. Eventually we came to a point where they were ready to go and wanted to share one last dance privately before the exit so, they did just that and it made for such a sweet moment that I didn’t even want to disturb so I took just a few photos and a video or two and got ready inside where everyone was already lined up for the glow stick exit. They stopped to kiss twice and everyone was cheering which made it super fun. The limo driver was there at the end of the line to take them out with the umbrella so, we followed them down the elevator and outside to the limo through the pouring rain and it actually was a lot of fun. The limo driver offered for us to take a few photos of them through the opened privacy window (is that what you call it?) so I snagged a few and said goodbye before running back inside to dry off everything a little. We then got to say goodbye to the family and vendors which is always such a great moment and we even got some uplifting compliments that warmed our hearts as we packed up to leave. We cannot wait to see what this next season has in store for the Wilkinsons as they start their adventure together officially and are so excited for what 2022 holds now that we’re here!

Ben & Kayla

Another case of rescheduling done right during Covid-19 times! You may remember this couple from their dreamy engagement session in Jekyll Island which you can see here. That was in September of 2019 and they originally planned to hold the ceremony at another one of our favorite local venues, Quinney Oaks but then set their eyes on Enterprise for this year when everything had to change and we have to say, it turned out perfectly! We haven’t been to Enterprise photographing a wedding in a while so there’s even been some changes since we were last there on the bridal suite side of things. Once we found out where we were going, we started with details and talking with all of the girls to see how their day has been thus far. The dress from Tiffinie Bleu Bridal is just dreamy and perfect for Kayla and that’s where we started so that we could have it done and ready if she needed to get into it. We also did some fun photos with the girls in their robes before leaving them to finish getting ready and dressed to visit the guys and catch up with Ben a little bit. They were at the perfect point of getting ready to where we could just start photographing them and head straight out to do their group photos quickly. We have to say that Ben’s guys kept us laughing a good bit and it’s always fun to have those types of interactions through the whole day keeping everyone laughing and enjoying even the in between moments. As we finished up with the guys, the bride’s father showed up perfectly on time for us to get her ready for the first look with him downstairs in the hall. They shared such a sweet moment and then I walked back with Kayla’s dad to get Ben ready for the bride and groom first look. While we were doing that, Morgan captured some sweet moments with Kayla and her mom “Connie” exchanging gifts and cards.

Now once we found the spot that would be decent light but also somewhat hidden away, we set up the bride and groom’s first look and well…you can see for yourself that they were very happy to see each other and it was super sweet. While we had the two of them, we went off for a few minutes to do some couples portraits all around the property and recreated some of their favorite old photos even. Then they went to take a moment and everyone was showing up for the ceremony so we got in our places and mic’d Ben for their ceremony film so they had good audio. From there on, it was smooth sailing and all smiles for literally everyone taking in the ceremony and seeing all of their loved ones around them while they exchanged their vows underneath the chandelier and floral decor. Once they said their I do’s (they had done this once together due to the reschedule), they kissed and made their way happily up the aisle together. They took a right at the bell and we all made our way to do family and bridal party photos quickly before heading to the reception. Once we got into the reception, we photographed the details quickly and said hey to our friends at Amplified Events as we always leave our bags behind their booth and have always loved working with their team closely! Once everyone got settled in and the couple was ready, everyone got announced into the reception with a fun entrance into the couple’s first dance. Then they went straight into the father/daughter and mother/son dances where you can just feel the proud parent emotions from the other side of the room. Next, we cut the cake and opened up the dance floor where a family friend that does dance instructing got to share a dance with the bride’s mother and bring some others to the dance floor as well. At that point, it was perfectly timed for us to go do some sunset photos with the couple as well and boy were they dreamy. We even had some of the tour ferries coming back in as we made our way up that turned out to have some of our dear friends who were married at Enterprise on it (we didn’t find out until later when we saw them) and that made for a very nice surprise on our part!

The night approached and it was time for the other half of the reception to start up (you know the part with the lights, smoke and a lot of dancing). So we started with the bouquet and garter tosses then toasts to kick off the rest of the festivities. No sooner than everyone putting down their glasses after the final toast did the dance floor open up and the photobooth fill up. We split up and watched the night unravel until it was almost time for the exit which would be done with dried flower petals that were placed into very cute little boxes for everyone. Once everyone was lined up and their signs they had made for the end of the exit were in place, we started our way with flower petals flying everywhere and they shared a kiss at the end just before hopping into their getaway SUV. The bride shared a few hugs with her parents and everyone waved as they drove away into the night which then ended our night as well. We headed back inside to pack up and say bye to our friends at Amplified and then said bye to Connie and everyone else that we could find before heading back home ourselves. It was literally a perfect wedding day and even further proves that even in times like these, good things are still worth the wait. I don’t know that you could have asked for more perfect weather and a happier wedding day celebration. We’re excited to see what the Dieterich’s have ahead of them!

Charlie & Hannah

9-14-2019

Some months ago, we got to meet Charlie and Hannah and their dads for their engagement session and very quickly started to have a great time getting to know them and joke around. Fast forward to Saturday after speaking with them and Hannah’s sister/maid of honor helping plan for months, the day went beautifully! We started off with the girls at The Bobbi Pin Salon in Martinez and enjoying them getting their hair and makeup done while watching the game.

After a little while, we all headed over to Wesley UMC just down the road for the rest of getting ready and the ceremony. The ceremony went off without a hitch and they tied the knot in front of all their friends and family and you can see the pure joy as they were announced husband and wife and they walked back up the aisle together as the Folsoms! Directly after the ceremony, we hung around to do some family photos at the church and a few with the bridal party and couple but wanted to focus on getting most of those at the next location, the Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Once they arrived there in their limo, we walked down to the bride and photographed the entire bridal party and some more individuals and a sweet moment where Jack and Charlie hugged each other in a loving brother moment. Shortly after we dismissed and took the bride and groom for some couples photos around the area briefly and they rode back up to the reception at the top of the hill where would meet back up with them before they were introduced into the reception.

We had previously worked with Amplified events and The Silver Palm Catering and so we quickly felt at home and had an amazing time working with the perfect team and they came in straight into their first dance and then some speeches from the maid of honor, one of the best men and Hannah’s father. It was clear they were all very proud and loved the couple together, Jack had some funny stories and a little bit of a roast of his brother which was hilarious! Rebecca had a big reveal of her wedding gift and speech prop. We have to say that the gift (seen below) was very fitting for the chemistry majors and was made custom with a lot of thought and intention which was really cool! Hannah’s father then came up to thank everyone involved behind the scenes and gave a very warm thank you to the coordinator which was also both of his daughters’ elementary school teacher.

The night continued on into eating some amazing dinner, a father daughter dance along with a lot of other dancing, cake cutting and pure joy that seemed to be the general feel of the room. Come time for the exit, we coordinated everyone into two lines with the glow sticks they had purchased and they had one last big kiss and drove away into the night as newly weds! Cheers to the Folsoms and we wish you both many happy years of marriage and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you!
