Jamie & Amber

We had the joy of photographing this sweet couple’s engagement session last Fall which you can see here. That session was at the venue as well as the Bridal session we did more recently for Amber as well which we will hopefully share here soon as well. Enough about that though, this beautiful day took place at Vows & Venue in Harlem, Ga with an amazing team of vendors and the sweetest couple with the sweetest family and friends surrounding them as well.

The day itself was full of a ton of beautiful moments with a bunch of matching pj’s with the girls and babies all over the place which is the way to our heart already. Once we finished details and some photos for the girls in the pjs, it was time for Amber to hop into her dress and at the same time, our third shooter Tom was also with the guys and we made sure to say hey while the girls were all getting dressed as well as photographing and filming some of the venue space. Amber was finished getting into her beautiful dress so we setup for the first looks with her girls, her Dad and then her Brother which all three had such completely different emotions but they were all beautiful and special. Before we knew it, it was time for them to tie the knot so we made our way out and setup everything we needed and mic’d Jamie up. The joy was all over Jamie when he saw his Bride. It was a beautiful ceremony with a gorgeous field as the backdrop as well as the arbor that Jamie built giving such a nice personal touch which we took advantage of as soon as they said their I do’s and sealed it all with a kiss. We started with family photos and then wedding party photos then ended with just the two newly weds first at the arbor then out into the field behind.

Then it was reception time and guests were finishing up enjoying cocktail hour and some of the photobooth from our friends at Southeastern exposure just outside of the barn. It started with a roaring crowd cheering the entire wedding party and Bride and Groom into their first dance as well as the Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dances. From there we did the cake cutting and they enjoyed their first custom mixed drink really quick after but from there, we start to really get some plot twists into the mix. They did the bouquet and garter tosses and danced a little, then all of the sudden a table is pulled into the middle of the dance floor for a wedding party edition of flip cup where the girls got to enjoy a devastating victory of the guys. That was also followed up shortly by the shoe game and then a Bride and Groom dance off with cash prizes being thrown at them judged by the cheering of their loved ones. Then it was an open dance floor most of the rest of the night and some people retreated to keep score of the Georgia game that night while others were also enjoying some slow dancing as couples including the private dance for Jamie and Amber before the exit. Then they actually did a fake exit with all I can explain as streamer but also with a hint of like teepeeing the couple since you had to throw them a little but, they looked so cool and all stayed attached so it was a quick and easy clean up so 10/10 would recommend. Everyone then made their way back in slowly to the dance floor and one of the Jr. Bridesmaids gifted Jamie and Amber with the baseball from the game where Jamie proposed to Amber which was so special and Jamie legitimately looked shocked and they loved the gift which, outside of more dancing and cute baby stuff, was the last major event of the night for us so, as things were winding down, we hugged Amber and congratulated them again! They’re such a great couple and I know they have such a great future ahead of them and we’re super excited to see what lies ahead for them!

Clayson & Rebecca

We don’t typically have the ability to say that we knew the couple as great friends and have even our own stories with them that would make for a fun toast but, in this post, we absolutely can say that and that we love them dearly! Clayson and Rebecca’s wedding day took place at Living History Park in North Augusta which is a bit of a family tradition from what I understand and we also got to bump shoulders with one of our favorites here locally, Tracy Yahn and her whole team who we’ve worked with a quite a few times over the past few years. Throughout the wedding day, there was every emotion from tears to pure outrageous laughter (more on the laughter side of things and more on that in a minute) and it was such an honor to witness and capture some of our closest friends celebrate the love of these two.

The day started at an airbnb in Downtown Augusta just inside Olde Town with a super eclectic yet, beautifully detailed vibe. After saying hello and exchanging hugs, we grabbed all of the details to photograph and found which space we wanted to use and landed on one of the upstairs rooms with a huge window and plenty of space to spread out. Once finished with details, we gave a good “hooty hoo” signal for Rebecca’s MOH Marlow to bring her up to open a surprise gift from Clayson with a bunch of personal flare with an added bonus of it being their engagement session photo as a gorgeous painting. From there, we had all of the girls grab some orange juice for a few quick photos on the bed in that room before everyone got dressed and Rebecca’s mom helped with her last bit of getting into the dress and then the airbnb had a beautiful claw foot tub upstairs so we got a few photos there before everyone started packing and we all made our way to Living History Park in North Augusta. From here, once the girls were all in their spot, we met up with the guys and helped with the boutonnieres then took Rebecca’s Dad to get in a good spot to do their first look and we landed on a shaded spot surrounded by greenery where we knew we would have angles and also close to the Bride. Once he turned around and saw his little girl, you could tell that he was just filled with joy and pride seeing her and they shared a sweet moment. From here, we called for Clayson and got him in position for her to be able to come around easily and us to have the space again but also have it be a different spot. We know the anticipation for this moment was huge and they were so ready to be on the other side of the ceremony as Husband and Wife. When she tapped him on the shoulder, he turned and just had probably one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen from Clayson and they shared a small moment together before hopping into some photos with their wedding party and a few family photos. Pretty quickly, everyone started to show up and it was time for them to hide away for their entrance. Once they had everyone seated and it was time, everyone started making their way down the aisle and just before the Bride came, we had the beautiful moment of seeing one of my best friends as a flower dude entering in to “Pour Some Sugar On Me” which I have to say I am excited to figure out how that slow motion footage will play into the Highlight Film. After that, the song changed and Rebecca made her way down the aisle and that big smile showed itself again just as in the first look. Once they were hand in hand at the foot of the cross, our dear friend Pastor Mitchell Copeland took over and had some great memories and insight to share for the couple before announcing them as husband and wife where they got to seal the deal with a kiss and make their way up the aisle together as the Kansanback’s.

After the Ceremony, we hopped right into the family formal photos and taking some photos of the newlyweds as well as signing the marriage license then we made our way over to the barn for the reception to get ready for their entrances. Once entered in to all of the cheering attendees, they started dancing to (everything I do) I do it for you by Bryan Adams with their wedding party just behind them. They then went into the Father-Daughter dance where some of the Bridesmaids cried a little bit and then the Mother-Son dance as well before everyone started to get in line to eat tacos. After everyone had their fill of tacos, the dance floor opened up and the DJ’s lighting came out while the rest of the lights were turned off. We also did the cake cutting, a bouquet and garter toss and pretty much danced/fellowshipped the night away until we came to a point of doing a quick fake exit with streamers and from here it turned into everyone on the dance floor having a ton of fun and eventually requesting some songs even to end off the night. We loved being a part of this amazing couple’s big day and getting to provide them with these memories and look forward to seeing their marriage grow over the years!

Jeremiah & Amanda

Some of you may remember this sweet couple’s engagement session from last July which you can see here. We originally met Amanda years ago through her Sister’s wedding and it became one of our favorite situations to where we all clicked so well with the whole family that we now had the honor to be a part of her wedding as well and then after meeting Jeremiah and getting to know him a little more in conversation, we realized that he’s hilarious and that we were just going to enjoy their wedding day so much. Not only did it take place at the venue that we got married at, Windsor Manor, they also broke out some amazing surprises like the old school Bentley and we got to work with amazing vendors.

The day started with us meeting up with our third shooter and dropping Logan off with Morgan’s parents then once we arrived at the venue, we talked with Tracy of Tracy Yahn Events who was the planner/coordinator to catch up a little bit and show our third shooter around a bit. When we made our way upstairs we said hey to all of the guys briefly and then said hey to all of the girls as well as gathering the details to photograph them. After photographing the details, we made our way into the getting ready photos where I went with the guys and as the girls were finishing up, we took Jeremiah out to the ceremony area for their first look. As Amanda came out and stood behind him, we all stepped back to let them enjoy their moment as much as possible and it was all smiles the entire time. They are such an adorable and happy couple and their friends and family watching off in the distance enjoyed it so much that they were smiling as well. From here we went to do their group photos with the entire wedding party and a little bit of family that was present at the time for the photos and just a few of Amanda and Jeremiah.

The ceremony started and you could feel the shift and reverence for the moment happen. Everyone was holding back tears of joy for most of the ceremony and it was beautiful to see. Once everyone was in place for the Bride to come, we saw Jeremiah’s Mom crying and Jeremiah himself did a great job of holding back the tears and smiling. As she was standing in front of him ready and they joined hands, there were a lot of moments of joy and laughter as well as holding back tears. After they said their I do’s, they kissed then her sister Sarah handed the flowers over for them to walk back up the aisle together as the Robinsons. From here they celebrated once they made it out of the ceremony space with a kiss and big hug. As we started to get ready for family formals, there was a bittersweet moment of everyone hugging and crying since Jeremiah and Amanda would basically be moving across the states immediately because of him being stationed elsewhere. We didn’t know they were moving yet but it was such a beautiful and heavy thing to witness how close their friends held them and would miss them but everyone switched back pretty quickly to smiling for the photos with those they love. Once we had finished out the full list and a few others, we did some couples portraits around the grounds quickly so that Amanda could have her dress bustled then also change her shoes as we made our way to get ready for the reception.

As the dj announced the wedding party by names, they entered into the reception and formed a line to watch the dances. As the newlyweds danced, they smiled a lot and exchanged laughs. Then the Bride and her Father danced which seemed to bring some tears with it both for the Bride and her Sister which made for beautiful family bond moments to be seen which carried through into the speeches as well. These were filled with fond memories of how they met the couple individually and even more stories from their past. After that moment, it was time for the joyful reception to kick off into dancing. There were a ton of fun moments so it was hard to really put them all into this blog but, know that the photos and videos are there and you will see more of those! Eventually, we came to that moment where they leave and in this case everyone got to blow bubbles at the couple as they exited. Once they got into the Bentley to ride away, there were just a few more hugs and kisses to give as a big last goodbye for now. They rode off towards their honeymoon which would take them to Disney and then a beautiful Cruise as well. We’re honored to have been a part of this perfect day and can’t wait to see what all this amazing couple accomplishes as just seeing them come back to visit as well.
