Max & Kaitlyn

We originally met Max and Kaitlyn almost a year ago last July and learned all about their interests like Disney, fixing things, rock music and also how he had a sweet setup in their back yard with a Teepee and some of their favorite food and champagne as a beautiful moment to propose to her. We also did a gorgeous engagement session at the Christmas Tree farm which you can see here. This all led to this beautiful wedding day at Windsor Manor in Augusta, GA.

On a picturesque Spring day in Augusta, GA, the elegant Windsor Manor played host to a wedding that embodied pure enchantment in celebration of Max & Kaitlyn. As guests arrived, the charming venue greeted them with its sprawling green gardens, adorned with vibrant flowers that mirrored the love filling the air. The ceremony took place in a quaint courtyard, where a dazzling white gazebo stood as the altar. Soft rays of sunlight filtered through the trees, casting a gentle glow upon the couple as they exchanged vows. That was then followed by a beautiful reception full of dancing, cake, toasts and so much more.

Jeremiah & Amanda

Some of you may remember this sweet couple’s engagement session from last July which you can see here. We originally met Amanda years ago through her Sister’s wedding and it became one of our favorite situations to where we all clicked so well with the whole family that we now had the honor to be a part of her wedding as well and then after meeting Jeremiah and getting to know him a little more in conversation, we realized that he’s hilarious and that we were just going to enjoy their wedding day so much. Not only did it take place at the venue that we got married at, Windsor Manor, they also broke out some amazing surprises like the old school Bentley and we got to work with amazing vendors.

The day started with us meeting up with our third shooter and dropping Logan off with Morgan’s parents then once we arrived at the venue, we talked with Tracy of Tracy Yahn Events who was the planner/coordinator to catch up a little bit and show our third shooter around a bit. When we made our way upstairs we said hey to all of the guys briefly and then said hey to all of the girls as well as gathering the details to photograph them. After photographing the details, we made our way into the getting ready photos where I went with the guys and as the girls were finishing up, we took Jeremiah out to the ceremony area for their first look. As Amanda came out and stood behind him, we all stepped back to let them enjoy their moment as much as possible and it was all smiles the entire time. They are such an adorable and happy couple and their friends and family watching off in the distance enjoyed it so much that they were smiling as well. From here we went to do their group photos with the entire wedding party and a little bit of family that was present at the time for the photos and just a few of Amanda and Jeremiah.

The ceremony started and you could feel the shift and reverence for the moment happen. Everyone was holding back tears of joy for most of the ceremony and it was beautiful to see. Once everyone was in place for the Bride to come, we saw Jeremiah’s Mom crying and Jeremiah himself did a great job of holding back the tears and smiling. As she was standing in front of him ready and they joined hands, there were a lot of moments of joy and laughter as well as holding back tears. After they said their I do’s, they kissed then her sister Sarah handed the flowers over for them to walk back up the aisle together as the Robinsons. From here they celebrated once they made it out of the ceremony space with a kiss and big hug. As we started to get ready for family formals, there was a bittersweet moment of everyone hugging and crying since Jeremiah and Amanda would basically be moving across the states immediately because of him being stationed elsewhere. We didn’t know they were moving yet but it was such a beautiful and heavy thing to witness how close their friends held them and would miss them but everyone switched back pretty quickly to smiling for the photos with those they love. Once we had finished out the full list and a few others, we did some couples portraits around the grounds quickly so that Amanda could have her dress bustled then also change her shoes as we made our way to get ready for the reception.

As the dj announced the wedding party by names, they entered into the reception and formed a line to watch the dances. As the newlyweds danced, they smiled a lot and exchanged laughs. Then the Bride and her Father danced which seemed to bring some tears with it both for the Bride and her Sister which made for beautiful family bond moments to be seen which carried through into the speeches as well. These were filled with fond memories of how they met the couple individually and even more stories from their past. After that moment, it was time for the joyful reception to kick off into dancing. There were a ton of fun moments so it was hard to really put them all into this blog but, know that the photos and videos are there and you will see more of those! Eventually, we came to that moment where they leave and in this case everyone got to blow bubbles at the couple as they exited. Once they got into the Bentley to ride away, there were just a few more hugs and kisses to give as a big last goodbye for now. They rode off towards their honeymoon which would take them to Disney and then a beautiful Cruise as well. We’re honored to have been a part of this perfect day and can’t wait to see what all this amazing couple accomplishes as just seeing them come back to visit as well.

Nathan & Rebecca

This wedding day was at one of the more beautiful churches in our area, Saint Teresa of Avila Catholic Church which is in Grovetown, Ga. Their sweet little girl, Laura, is pictured throughout the day just as happy as can be. In fact, this wedding day was just full of all of the adorable babies which made for so many cute moments. The reception was held at the Augusta Marriott in Downtown Augusta right on the Savannah River. Throughout the day you see the work of many of the wonderful vendors like the flowers from Florologie, the dress from David’s Bridal, the cake by Dianna Hall and many more!

This day started as most do, in the upstairs bridal suite at Saint Teresa of Avila with the girls to photograph some details and the girls getting their final touches. Once everyone was dressed and the Mother of the Bride finished the last few buttons on the back of her daughter’s wedding dress, we made our way downstairs to photograph all of the girls together. Being that it was a super bright and sunny day outside, we tried to keep everyone in the shade for most of the photos before sneaking them all back upstairs to hide during the Mass service that was taking place in the Sanctuary. We then did the same with the guys to keep it uniform before taking a few out in the courtyard. We dismissed the rest of the guys to go inside but then had one go and get baby Laura for Nathan so they could take a few photos together and they are some of our favorites from the day. She was so happy to see him and it made for an adorable moment that made us miss our little Logan even more! At that point, it was just time to wait and lineup for the ceremony so, we got Nathan mic’d up for the ceremony and got into our positions. Nathan carried Laura down the aisle with him so they could both wait to see the bride come down the aisle together. You can see in the photo that as soon as Laura her mommy coming down the aisle, she reached for her and Nathan was fighting back tears. The ceremony went perfectly and it is honestly just one of the most beautiful sanctuaries to have as a back drop for their wedding vows. Once they had completed their vows, blessings, communion and prayers (not in that order), they sealed the deal with a kiss and made their way back up the aisle hand in hand as husband and wife. We then transitioned into family formal photos and the full bridal party photos as well as just a few of the newly weds.

The reception at the Augusta Marriott was held in the Estes room so we made our way downtown and started photographing details there while we awaited the couple to arrive in the limo. Once they arrived and everyone was ready, the DJ announced them in to everyone cheering for the happy couple. They immediately went straight into their first dance which was accompanied by live acoustic music performed by the groom’s sister. Then the groom and his mother shared a dance before he also shared a dance with his daughter. During the father daughter dance, Laura got to enjoy some snacks which made for a pretty funny dance. After a little time passed, it was then time for the toasts. You can see the groom’s brother sharing a sweet speech for the happy couple which kicked off the dance floor opening, then the cake cutting and into the maid of honor’s touching speech. Before more dancing took place though, we setup the bouquet toss and garter toss. The garter toss ended up with a few of the guys landing on the ground which was hilarious. The dance floor then opened back up with some slow dancing for couples to enjoy among many other fun dances. The night ended with a perfect sparkler send off behind the Marriott on the River Walk. They got the good sparklers so we even made another run through going back with them all still lit and so we got to say goodbye to the newly weds and wish them a happy honeymoon. We’re so excited for this happy family and look forward to seeing Laura grow up as well as whatever else life may bring to the Christe family!

Brendan & Sarah

8-15-2020

Where do we even start with this amazing couple? They were some of the first to know about our pregnancy, they have kept us going with “The Office” memes during Covid-19, among so many other things that just put them in a spot close to our hearts. One thing that we love about what we do for a living is the fact that we are able to see people that we have come to know and love tie the knot on one of the happiest days of their lives. When we get the chance to do engagement sessions with our couples and meet beforehand, we find that we have skin in the game and are so invested and happy for them and that was definitely the situation here. Anyways, onto the wedding day story!

We were doing photo and video for this wedding and had our third shooter Tom with us to help cover everything so we met up with him and got there early to walk around the venue space a little and get familiar since we had not photographed a wedding out there yet. After that we went into the bridal suite to say hey to all of the girls and grab some details to go photograph while they were half way into makeup and everything still so we did that and eventually during the getting ready process the guys were ready so, after I filmed a little part of Sarah reading her card to Brendan, Tom and I took the guys outside and did the group photos and some individuals of Brendan as well. We then finished up with Sarah getting ready and took the girls outside and once we got back inside it was time to setup for the father daughter first look, and first touch for Brendan and Sarah where they would read their notes to each other. By that time it was getting super close to time for the ceremony so I left Morgan and Tom to do the Mother Son first look while I went and setup another camera for the ceremony video and was joined shortly by the rest of the team. Everything went perfectly and it held off raining just long enough for everyone to get under the covering and most of the ceremony to be over with. They said their I do’s and the priest was actually hilarious and made some unexpected jokes and everyone made their way back up the aisle and then it started raining again so we all hid out under a covered porch just around the corner while we waited to go back for family formal photos at the ceremony area and it didn’t take long at all. We knocked those out and then walked over to the green up on a hill for the full wedding party group photos and some couples photos. A rainbow ended up popping up in the background for a few minutes before it faded away, you can actually spot a little bit of in the first bridal party photo on the green.

Fast forward a little, the introductions and dances all take place and the couple’s first dance was beautifully choreographed to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly me to the moon”. Once they finished all of the dances and we got to the speeches, Sarah’s dad took the first speech to thank everyone and welcome them to the reception. He started by pulling out a long piece of paper from his coat pocket and stated that it was the receipt for the wedding day and you could tell no one was prepared for the joke because everyone laughed so loud and the couple looked so surprised that he broke the paper out like that. All of the other reception moments were perfect and once they got to the open dance floor, the dj threw out some hits by Smash Mouth and Sarah sang every single word while they were surrounded by friends. If that doesn’t perfectly describe how fun they are, I am not sure what does.

A little bit of time passed and it was time for the couples grand exit to their limo so, we got everyone lined up outside and started lighting the sparklers. They exited out and everyone cheered for them and they were intentional about stopping one last time before getting in the limo to look back and say bye to everyone which was just a sweet moment. They then got into the limo and had a few bags thrown into the trunk before the road off into the night to go on their honeymoon to Montego Bay! Needless to say that we are honored to call them friends and cannot wait to see what else happens in the lives of the Dufek family! #IdotoDufek
