Joey & Victoria

Joey and Victoria had such a gorgeous Fall wedding day at Ashton Cole Place in Thomson, GA full of some of the biggest smiles, tears and these two just know how to have a good time. You can see their rooftop engagement session here.

The day started off with details and some amazing game day entrances with the guy showing up. Everyone started getting ready, the girls popped a bottle of champagne for mimosas and enjoyed them around the bridal suite in their robes while the guys were starting to get ready. Before long at all, the guys were ready and so I took them near a fence line for their group photos in the shade there while Morgan and Chastity finished up the dress and girls getting ready. Once the girls were ready, they took part in a tradition we had never seen before called the cake pull where the girls pulled fortunes from the cake by pulling a ribbon. Then we had Joey in place for their first touch and reading vows to each other so we got them in place and then enjoyed being a part of the beautiful moment. They were tucked away and guests started showing up which led straight into the ceremony where all of their family and friends got to witness the tears of joy from Joey when seeing Victoria for the first time but also the beautiful dress and cape. During the ceremony they exchanged vows, rings and took part in pouring unity sand followed by sealing the deal with their first kiss as husband and wife. We then hopped straight into family and wedding party photos while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour followed by then their couples portraits around the property to then get them in line for their introductions into the reception. They all danced their way into reception which provided a bunch of funny moments and the wedding party lined the dancefloor as the dj announced Mr. and Mrs. Wall straight into their first dance as well as Father-Daughter and Mother-Son dances. Dinner time was upon us and everyone got to enjoy Sconyers BBQ (Morgan’s favorite as a side note). After dinner, a few toasts were given which then opened up the dance floor afterwards for the rest of the night to be a joyful party. At one point early into that, they brought out a birthday cake to celebrate both the Bride and Groom’s Grandmother’s birthday that were on that day which is so special. Throughout the night, there was a ton of dancing, the bouquet and garter tosses which were caught by the same couple as well as cake cutting and a bit of moonshine. The night ended for us with a fake glowstick exit where Joey carried Victoria back through to go back into the reception. It was a gorgeous wedding day and we’re so excited for them both and what their future holds as the Wall family.

Trinity & Shayla

This beautiful wedding day took place at Victory North in Savannah, GA and had almost everything you can think of. Friends, family, dogs, kids, roller skating, tears, laughter, stories of a broken arm just before the wedding and a beautiful love story being celebrated through all of it.

The wedding day started with the three of us (Jordan, Morgan and Tom) showing up and looking around the venue then splitting up to cover the guys getting ready, venue space and details while the girls were finishing up bits of makeup to then cover the last touches of makeup. Once they were finished, Shayla got into her dress and we started doing the last few touches with her Mom and a few of her girls to button up the dress and put in the veil just before setting up the first touch with her and Trint. They held hands and shared some beautiful words with each other around the corner as well as a few jokes which sent us all off happily to prepare for the ceremony. It was a very hot Summer day so a lot of the guests sat under the tree shade then sat down as it started. The ceremony was full of tears of joy as they walked down the aisle even with both their son as the ring security followed by a well dressed flower guy preparing the way for the Bride. Trinity shed a few tears as he got to see the woman he will spend the rest of his life with for the first time that day. Her Uncle handed her off and then they proceeded to share vows to each other as well as Shayla to Trinity’s son which I am pretty sure made everyone cry. As they finished their vows, they sealed it with a kiss and left as husband and wife. We then transitioned into family formals, wedding party and then their couples portraits.

Now it was time for the party to start at the reception as they entered into their first dance, Uncle and Niece dance, Mother and Daughter and then Mother and Son dances which kicked off the reception. Later they also cut their beautiful cake on the stage which kicked off the night full of dancing which is where eventually the roller skates and their dog came out on the dance floor. One of the most beautiful parts was when everyone gathered in a circle near the bar for toasts and passed around the mic and it was ended by their little boy giving one of the most beautiful toasts and no one wanted to try to follow that. The night ended full of music, dancing, conversing and drinking with all of their closest friends and family which was the perfect end to a beautiful day.

Matt & Anna

Well, this one is another one close to heart which is crazy that our past 3 blog posts were good friends before. For some perspective, we photographed their best friends’ wedding back in 2017, their whole friend group getting baptized the following year following great loss of their friends and then Matt also went on a mission trip to Haiti with us in 2019. A lot has happened since then that has brought this couple’s family together even still and getting to know we’ve photographed so many big events for their lives is so special but, this day at a friends event property on the Savannah River of course holds such a huge and special place in the list.

The day itself started with us meeting up with Rashelle (our 3rd shooter for the day) and saying hey to everyone. We instantly grabbed details from Anna for photos and I made my way downstairs with the guys for some getting ready photos and once we finished all of those up, we took the dress outside and got to take some adorable photos of their daughters in the dress just before Anna got into the dress as well. As soon as she was in her dress, we got their boys mic’d up and in place for a first look with Anna and honestly the boys are just hilarious in general and their reactions were funny but they still had a loving moment too which then transitioned straight into the next first look with her Step Dad and Brother. It was super sweet and they all shared some great hugs and that was bringing us close to ceremony time but we had one more thing to do which was their first touch right before for them to just hear each other’s voices and say how excited they were. The ceremony started with everyone being driven down the hill on a trailer attached to the back of a truck and once they hopped off the back and formed a line, everyone made their way down the aisle with a few stars of the show being all of the kids and then their flower man/beer passer outer guy. During the ceremony the whole family came up to complete a unity puzzle and they also exchanged some beautiful and personally written vows. After they said their I-do’s and sealed the deal with a kiss. They walked back up the aisle together as the Joyner’s and as they started taking the chairs up to the reception tent, we transitioned into family and wedding party photos leading into their couple’s portraits which fell into Golden Hour perfectly for some gorgeous sunset light.

As everyone prepared to enter into the reception tent, they all planned out what to do. Once they began entering, they all danced or did something as a fun gesture which the finale was Matt and Anna entering in with a twirl into their first dance. That sweet dance was then followed by Anna and her Step Dad sharing a dance and then Matt and his Mom as well. Everyone then went to get some delicious tacos for dinner. As the night rolled around more and the open dance floor was filled, it began turning more and more into a hilarious and fun party for everyone. At one point they took a break and made their way inside to cut the cake and even shared some with their youngest Blakeleigh. From there, it was even more open dance floor, bouquet and garter tosses then the last big formal event was toasts. They had a few that were planned toasts and then a few that weren’t and it’s easily to tell that everyone loves and cherishes the Joyner family so much. They ranged from everyone crying to everyone belly laughing so, I can only imagine how those will turn out for the wedding videos later. We ended our night with them at the sparkler exit by the front porch and streamed lights which worked out perfectly. We love this family and are excited for their future and seeing the kiddos growing up over the years to come!

Jon & Kim

This wedding day took place at Sacred Heart Cultural Center here in Augusta, GA and we got to work with Tracy Yahn Events and her team for a great and beautiful wedding day celebrating Jonathan & Kimberly. They had a bunch of family coming from all over with a pretty large amount from New York coming in to celebrate which was a lot of fun to meet everyone that we had the chance to meet.

The day itself started super simple with them getting ready and us just grabbing a some details after saying hello to both Jon and Kim as well as all of the vendors there since we already knew everyone super well. Once everyone was ready we took turns taking the couple out with a little bit of family for their photos. Before long, it was time for the ceremony and everyone was in place. We have to say that we don’t shoot at Sacred Heart a whole lot but, it really does just have such beautiful architecture and we love some of these wide shots from the ceremony so much! After they exchanged their vows and completed their unity heart, they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked out as husband and wife! From there, we did a few more family photos and also walked around to do their romantic shots around the venue before splitting off to get ready for the entrance and her dress getting bustled.

Even the entrance into the reception had so much classic charm as the background with Jon and Kim having a ton of fun with their friends and family. As soon as they made it back down to the dance floor, they went into their first dance followed by a group photo of everyone present at the wedding. There were a few toasts and everyone spoke of how they met and how obvious the love between the newlyweds was to notice early on with some funny stories mixed in as well. The toasts were then followed by the dance floor opening but with so many traveling from so far, it was easy to see that they wanted to talk to everyone and mingle as much as possible first then they hopped out to the dance floor closer to the end of the day and had a ton of fun together. We ended our day with them right around sunset with a few photos inside and then just a few quick bridal portraits with the golden hour glow which felt like a great ending to our time with them. These two have already had a ton of success in their careers and have formed a beautiful life together but, I know they have even more great adventure ahead and we are excited to have told the story of the start of the rest of their lives together!
