Kyle & Jessica

We originally met with Kyle and Jessica back in September via Zoom and learned about when they met in the Army 12 years which first led to the decisive moment of him proposing at Universal Studios which subsequently leads us to this beautiful wedding day at Windsor Manor full of smiles, icing each other, beautiful vows, some great toasts and vivid shades of Jessica’s favorite color, pink.

The wedding day itself started off with us meeting the new venue manager/on sight coordinator, Christine as well as our friend Mallory of Honeycomb Florals to say hey briefly since we arrived early. That then lead straight to us getting into gathering details while saying hey to Jessica and all of her girls, as we were getting into the details downstairs, Kyle also showed up which worked out perfectly for us to grab the rings and a few other things which is where we heard about the first “icing” of the day which is a prank but, we won’t go into the details of that here. Once we finished details, we split up some while I did photo and video of the venue and the girls (Morgan and Bella) worked on getting the dress setup and also getting some of the makeup process taking place. The guys started to finish up getting ready so we got Jessica’s letter and gift for Kyle and set him up to read and open in the more quiet room for video reasons but, he opened a really nice watch and loved it and may or may not have gotten choked up some reading the letters. We then did the same for Jessica after getting photos of everyone in their robes together on the couch and had her read and open her beautiful necklace as well which her Mom came and helped put it on right after. The guys all made their way outside with Bella and I to do their group photos while the girls were getting dressed which then led straight into doing the first look for Jessica and Kyle. Guests started showing up pretty early so, we opted to do the first look inside by the stairs and they shared a beautiful moment just before ceremony time.

The ceremony started off with the groom and groomsmen all coming from the side just after some of the family and that was followed by everyone else coming down the aisle where their kiddos seemed to enjoy their moment coming down too which led straight into Jessica and her Father coming down the aisle. In that moment, Kyle was holding back tears and they were both so happy as she got closer and closer. Once they shared their I-do’s and finished off the ceremony with a kiss, they made their way back up the aisle together as husband and wife with their family and loved ones trailing just behind to the family formals location. Here, they were met with their glasses for a celebratory drink together. We then photographed all of their formal photos and some romantic golden hour couples portraits just before heading into the reception.

As everyone entered into the reception, they were greeted with cheers as the DJ Mike announced them in which was followed with some dance moves by some of them. As the newlyweds came in, everyone cheered and they went straight into their first dance followed by the Father-Daughter dance. The next part included a pasta bar so, you can imagine that we loved that and Delectable Delights knocked it out of the park with the delicious food. As everyone finished up eating, we then went into the loving toasts by both the Best Man and Matron of Honor who are family and had a ton of stories and loving sentiments to share with everyone present. We also cut the cake and then the dance floor opened up where everyone had a blast and a few will for sure make some fun moments in the wedding film with how much they enjoyed the cameras. The night ended with the glowstick exit and cheers of everyone present and we left with a big smile on our faces for how beautiful the day was. We’re excited for their sweet family and know they have a fun adventure ahead with each other!

Patrick & Michelle Vow Renewal

This might be one of the first times we’re posting a vow renewal where we got to be a part of their wedding day as well and in this case, it was a gorgeous destination wedding day in Saint Simons. This beautiful vow renewal was full of sweet moments and their story of immense loss that made some of the stories of great wins and ministry even since they’ve been married made for quite a crazy emotional rollercoaster of a day that was just full of beauty. The day took place between First Presbyterian church and The Old Medical College both in Downtown Augusta, GA.

We started by meeting up with our third shooter and one of the coordinators then hopping right into details. As we finished up with details, we all split up to the opposite ends of the church where the guys and girls were to capture all of the getting ready moments and beautiful prayers that were shared at both ends. As everyone finished getting ready, we took both sides of the party outside really quick separately and then met up to set up the first look at the front of the church in the middle. We did this first look a little bit differently where Patrick opened the front doors and came out to see her and came down to his Wife in her new beautiful dress. From here we did as many of the Formals that we could before the ceremony started with the family that we had present and the Wedding Party as well. Then it was time for them to hide away for a while and prepare for the Ceremony where we were all upstairs to photograph the ceremony besides a few shots from the ground floor but, we absolutely loved seeing the congregation singing together and the vocalists and musicians were super talented and helped make the whole tone of the ceremony so beautiful. As they exchanged their renewal vows, they kissed and came back up that aisle again being able to share with so many friends and family that they weren’t able to at their original wedding day that was during earlier time where Covid restrictions were a lot higher. From here, we hopped into the family formal photos and then made our way to the reception as everyone was dismissed to prepare for their entrances for the reception at the Old Medical College.

Now that the Bride had been bustled and everyone had made their way to a seat, the DJ announced in the entire wedding party where they were met with cheers of joy. Once Patrick and Michelle came in with a huge cheering crowd, they made their way to the dance floor to share in a beautifully choreographed dance. That was then followed by a Brother and Sister dance as well as Mother/Son. After this, everyone sat down and enjoyed a delicious dinner provided by one Silver Palm Catering whom we have always loved working with. After everyone had finished their food for the most part, we took Patrick and Michelle out for some sunset photos with gorgeous light to work with before going back in for the Cake cutting and toasts. These toasts were all so heartfelt and we cannot describe how touching the stories and descriptions of their closest friends were but, there were definitely some tear filled eyes in the place. As those wrapped up, it was then time for everyone to go down stairs for the rest of the party which was kicked off with the bouquet and garter tosses then the lights went out and the music was cranked up. They hit a ton of the classics and have so much fun with new things and some of the props from the photo booth even making it to the dance floor made for some absolutely hilarious moments. Joy filled the entire room for the rest of the night and it was a ton of fun to witness. As the night was coming to an end, we went outside for their sparkler exit leading to the Cadillac that they would be picked up and taken to the last part of the party for the night where everyone would meet up with them. They walked through the sparklers surrounded by their loved ones and it honestly was a perfect way to leave the place. We’ve already loved seeing some of the growth and change in just the short amount of time they were married and know that as the years go by, this marriage will become even stronger and shine brighter to those around.

Daniel & Kylandra

This wedding day at Pine Knoll Farms in Appling, GA was such a beautifully intimate feeling wedding day even for having more people than you would normally consider an “intimate wedding”. Everyone there was basically family, even if not by blood and it showed how fun and loving this couple is just to see their relationships with everyone else.

We had the chance to meet in person with Daniel and Kylandra back in May of 2021 for their engagement session which you can see here. Seeing them surrounded by their best friends and family on the wedding day brought out so much joy in a ton of tiny little moments with a funny joke or excited hug and we were honored to be a part of every minute!

The wedding day started with us arriving and meeting up with our third shooter and then splitting off different directions for the guys and girls with Morgan and I (Jordan) going to the girls first to photograph and video details as well as the girls getting hair and makeup done. Once they got a little further into that process, I went to meet up with Tom and Daniel at the other end of the property while Morgan stayed with the girls. While on the way, I grabbed a few video clips and photos of the property as well and even got to meet the guardians of the property, two Great Pyrenees dogs that were just friendly and enjoying rolling around so all of the groomsmen could pet them. At this point we did all of the Groomsmen’s group photos with Daniel as well as some of Daniel by himself. I then made my way back to the girls as the guys went in to hang out for a while longer while Tom (our third shooter) and I made our way back to the girls. Once they started getting dressed, Tom went to photograph a few more photos with Daniel and some family that finished getting ready. Once everyone on the girls side finished getting dressed, we made our way outside to photograph the Bride and some of her family. Once we finished, she made her way back upstairs to watch the surprise fake first look with one of the groomsmen throwing on his wife’s wedding dress. It made for a hilarious moment and some fantastic photos which made for a perfect moment for everyone to split back up and finish any touch ups or quick changes to get ready for the ceremony.

We made our way to the ceremony to set up our extra camera and figure out all of the angles we were going to cover knowing that the bride was coming in on a horse and carriage. We also got to meet up with our dear friend Gordon who was the DJ and the Officiant, Nick, who we had worked with on another beautiful wedding day later last year. As all of the guests were finding their seats and we got Daniel’s Mic setup for us to pick up good audio for their videos that we would be filming, the ceremony started officially. Everyone walked down the aisle to the music and then the horse and carriage showed up right outside of the courtyard leading into the chapel. Once Daniel saw her, a big smile never left his face and you could see the excitement behind the smile. Once Kylandra made her way to her Husband and was handed off by her Step Father, Curtis, they entered into a beautiful ceremony moment of sharing their own personally written vows and exchanged rings to officially be announced as Husband and Wife and then share a kiss before walking back up the aisle as the Hyman’s with the joy of everyone present surrounding them in the form of clapping and yelling for them. The couple then both rode back to the reception area in the horse and carriage along with the rest of the family to meet up and do all of the family formal photos, full wedding party and then a few couples portraits. We had an amazing sunset to work with for photos by the chapel. We quickly got them back to the reception to eat and be with their guests and even though they were not being announced into the reception, everyone still clapped for them and cheered as they began to walk around and hug their guests.

During the reception, everyone ate delicious food, the newlyweds danced as well as a Father and Daughter dance, cut and ate cake from Hey Honey Cakery (who we absolutely love), then the dance floor opened for everyone. Once everyone got out on the dance floor, they stayed there for a while and a few gathered by the fire outside as well and everyone enjoyed their night in different ways that were amazing in different ways. Without doing a formal exit, we decided to end the night with some backlit photos and a quick night time ring shot knowing that Kylandra loved that type of photo and it felt like it fit perfectly as a sendoff for us to say goodbye. We know that this couple does amazing work and have exciting things ahead that we are excited to see how their story unfolds!

Darren & Phoebe

It’s not every day that we can talk about one of our couples meeting through ultimate frisbee but, that’s exactly how these two met which is so cool! We got to meet up with Darren and Phoebe for their engagement session a few months ago which you can see here. We talked some about the wedding day and getting to know them a little as well as getting into the swing of posing and having fun taking photos for the wedding day at the Big Red Barn in Aiken, SC.

Once the wedding day arrived, we showed up to Darren putting out a bunch of the decor and then playing a little bit of Cornhole with his Groomsmen. We made our way in to get the details from the Bride’s suite and to say hey. Rachel from the Darling Loft Salon was working her magic doing Phoebe’s makeup as we walked in and we grabbed the small container that the Bride had full of details for us already and went out to photograph it all. She had stamps and extra flower stems that just made the flat lay so cute and easy to put together. Once we finished that, we grabbed the dress to photograph before splitting off for some venue details and then the guys and girls getting ready. The guys were ready pretty quickly so we took them outside to do their group photos and made some jokes before getting them back inside to take the girls out of the other side of the building. With such a small and close group of friends, we were able to do everything super quickly and have them inside waiting as guests arrived for the ceremony. Once everyone made their way down the aisle, Darren got to see his Bride for the first time coming to him and you could tell he was super happy and excited for that moment. Once they exchanged their vows and rings, they sealed it all with a kiss then made their way back up the aisle as husband and wife. Being that it was an intimate wedding, they formed a line to welcome everyone into the reception before making their way back for all of the formal photos. We ended up having such a great sunset to work with for their couples photos and we even finished earlier than expected with a ton of good photos so they sat down for a bit before entering the reception. Once they were being announced into the reception, everyone cheered and went to sit down and eat before getting into their dances, a few toasts and cake cutting. Once it was dark and most of the formalities were finished, the night was full of dancing, drinks and a bouquet toss. Morgan even got out to do the Macarena and a few other dances just for fun and then as our night came to a close, we did just a few more photos with Darren and Phoebe as a close to the night and just used one of our lights to back light them out in the field where the ceremony was. It was such a joy to help tell their story and we’re excited for what is yet to come for this sweet couple.
