Grant & Chasity

Where do we even begin with Grant and Chasity? Not only was this wedding day at Perry’s Landing absolutely gorgeous but, this is one of the sweetest couples ever and they have shown and inspiring amount of grace as parents and a family going through years of tough situations and constant hospital visits but always come out on the other side as such a strong family. This day played such a huge role in the story and the fact that it was full of so much joy and beauty was so fun to be a part of.

The day itself started off with Tom, Aaron, Theresa and myself (Jordan) showing up and splitting off to capture the day doing details and getting ready to begin with. As we finished up all of the details and everyone was nearing finishing getting dressed, Chasity’s Mom helped with the final touches on her dress just before the first look. Once we had Grant in place, we called to have Chasity come out and he turned and had a huge smile and they got to share a little moment together before the day kicked into high gear. Afterwards, Chasity hid behind Grant as we got her Dad in place for a first look with him as well and, I am not sure if anyone expected the tears but, it was such a sweet moment as well. We still had some time before the ceremony so we went ahead and did some wedding party photos as well as a few family and couples portraits after before they needed to hide away for the ceremony. As guests started to arrive, they were in place and we setup our extra cameras as well and planned a few drone shots. During the ceremony you see mostly Grant’s best man who came from Charleston (I believe) to support his friend right next to Grant who is smiling from ear to ear and even looks up at one point in a moment of pure bliss that the moment has finally arrived. After exchanging their vows and rings, they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked up the aisle as the Burtons officially with their boys coming just behind them. After the ceremony, we hopped into family formals and more couples portraits during golden hour.

As they were announced into the reception tent, everyone cheered and they went straight into their first dance as well as the Father and Daughter, Mother and Son and then Mother and Daughter dances which were all so sweet and we saw them share a few moments with their family during. From there we also went to do the cake cutting and toasts inside the barn at Perry’s Landing. The rest of the night was full of dancing, the bouquet toss, food of course and then ending the night with a sparkler exit surrounded by all of their favorite people. Since the wedding day, we have seen good news already on social media and know that amazing things are ahead for this beautiful family!

Trinity & Shayla

This beautiful wedding day took place at Victory North in Savannah, GA and had almost everything you can think of. Friends, family, dogs, kids, roller skating, tears, laughter, stories of a broken arm just before the wedding and a beautiful love story being celebrated through all of it.

The wedding day started with the three of us (Jordan, Morgan and Tom) showing up and looking around the venue then splitting up to cover the guys getting ready, venue space and details while the girls were finishing up bits of makeup to then cover the last touches of makeup. Once they were finished, Shayla got into her dress and we started doing the last few touches with her Mom and a few of her girls to button up the dress and put in the veil just before setting up the first touch with her and Trint. They held hands and shared some beautiful words with each other around the corner as well as a few jokes which sent us all off happily to prepare for the ceremony. It was a very hot Summer day so a lot of the guests sat under the tree shade then sat down as it started. The ceremony was full of tears of joy as they walked down the aisle even with both their son as the ring security followed by a well dressed flower guy preparing the way for the Bride. Trinity shed a few tears as he got to see the woman he will spend the rest of his life with for the first time that day. Her Uncle handed her off and then they proceeded to share vows to each other as well as Shayla to Trinity’s son which I am pretty sure made everyone cry. As they finished their vows, they sealed it with a kiss and left as husband and wife. We then transitioned into family formals, wedding party and then their couples portraits.

Now it was time for the party to start at the reception as they entered into their first dance, Uncle and Niece dance, Mother and Daughter and then Mother and Son dances which kicked off the reception. Later they also cut their beautiful cake on the stage which kicked off the night full of dancing which is where eventually the roller skates and their dog came out on the dance floor. One of the most beautiful parts was when everyone gathered in a circle near the bar for toasts and passed around the mic and it was ended by their little boy giving one of the most beautiful toasts and no one wanted to try to follow that. The night ended full of music, dancing, conversing and drinking with all of their closest friends and family which was the perfect end to a beautiful day.

Nathan & Courtney

Who says you can’t find true love in Mcdonalds? That’s exactly what happened here when they both were working there and then fast forward to a beautiful proposal where Hilton Head was the setting which led us all the way to this gorgeous wedding day years later at Perry’s Landing in Hephzibah, GA.

The wedding day itself was full of jokes, tik-tok filming, tears, cats and pure joy. It started with details and filming some of the earlier parts of their tik-toks and then it led into popping champagne for the girls. The guys were just down the road and as they finished getting ready, Nathan got to open up his watch and hand out a few groomsmen gifts as well. When we finished some of their group photos, we then made our way to the venue since the girls were finishing up getting ready and it was time to setup for the first look. First, Courtney and her Father shared a sweet first look and he had an amazing reaction. It’s clear to tell that he’s a fun Dad but also really loves his little girl and then that led into a quick move of the mic over to Nathan to get him into place as well. Their first look was super sweet and full of smiles which then also allowed for the rest of the wedding party to come on over for some group photos as well just before hiding away to start the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was just gorgeous and we loved that they were able to incorporate their cats as “flower cats” pushed by the flower girl down the aisle in a stroller. After they said their vows (which we loved and are excited for the film later on), they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked out together as Mr. and Mrs. Hooker. As the vibrant sunlight bathes the newlyweds and their entourage, we then got to highlight the elegance and grace of the bridal party, family and of course, the Bride and Groom. With glowing smiles and enchanting poses, the couple's journey unfolds seamlessly from the formal photos to the grand entrance of the reception. They started their first dance and watching them joyfully glide across the dance floor was a sight to behold. The magic doesn't end there; the father and daughter dance follows suit. Embraced in an emotional embrace, they transcend time, exchanging whispers and heartfelt expressions. Teary-eyed and proud, the mother and son take to the floor, the music guiding their delicate movements. That was then followed by dinner being served, the cake being cut and some absolutely delightful toasts. The night ended in the light of sparklers giving way to the newlyweds walking out together surrounded by cheers of their loved ones. We are so excited about the future of the Hooker family and cannot wait to see what their adventure together holds.

Marcus & Lilly

We had a great chance to meet with Marcus and Lilly a while ago and already having mutual friends through their church family, when we did their engagement session came around (which you can see here), we already had a kinship and it made for an amazing session. That only transferred and made the wedding day even more laid back and fun! This beautiful wedding day took place between two different locations. It was our first time visiting at Warren Baptist Church and then the other location we have been to a lot, the Savannah Rapids Pavillion.

The day started with the girls in Evans where we did details and photographed them getting ready then split where I went to photograph the guys down the road for a little bit of getting ready with them before returning back to the girls to help with the reveal with the bridesmaids. Once the girls turned around and saw Lilly, they screamed with joy and then Lilly hit them with a hands in the hidden dress pockets twirl and they ran in to hug her making for an amazing moment. We then got her Dad and brought him out facing the other way to setup for their first look which turned into a beautiful and emotional moment once they hugged and we could tell he was fighting back tears. They finished their moment and took a few photos together and then we left to meet up with everyone at the Savannah Rapids Pavillion for the Bride and Groom’s first look and some group photos. Once we had Marcus setup, Lilly made her way out to him and tapped him on the shoulder for him to turn around. He had a huge smile on his face and they shared a sweet hug before heading down the stairs to meet up with the rest of the wedding party for group photos. Once we finished the group photos, we also did a few couples photos with Marcus and Lilly followed by us splitting up to meet back up at the church. Once everyone made it inside at Warren, we had a few minutes still of guests arriving and so Morgan and I took our places once the doors started shutting. It was split into the two aisles of the chapel so Morgan and I split up the aisles to get everyone coming down and then once it was Lilly’s turn, Morgan focused on Marcus as I photographed the Bride and her Father coming down the aisle at the same time. From here I went upstairs and Morgan stayed in the back of the chapel and we captured different angles of the ceremony where they prayed, took communion, exchanged rings and vows then finished off with their first kiss as husband and wife. They had so much joy on their face as they went back up the aisle together (they pretty much always have a ton of joy anyways but this was especially joyful). From here, we went to the prayer garden on the other side of the church grounds for the family formals and a few other couples portraits before driving to the reception at the Savannah Rapids Pavillion.

The reception was already full and felt like twice the amount of people than were at the ceremony somehow but we captured the details as everyone lined up to make their entrance and in just a matter of minutes everyone was dancing their way into the reception. Everyone had something funny for their entrance but there’s so many photos that it just didn’t make sense to blog them all here. Once they made it to their table, the food was blessed and in the next photo you see the toasts starting. Everyone’s toasts had such a different vibe and funny stories throughout so it was a lot of fun to hear and set a great tone for the rest of the reception. It was then time to do the dances where they had their first dance and at one point burst into laughter which was hard to not have a huge smile on your face seeing them having so much fun. They also did a Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance before the cake cutting and then the dance floor opening up more. Right after the cake cutting, the first song that started playing had literally everyone singing. By the time the second song came on, I am pretty sure that maybe 8 people tops were still at their table instead of the dance floor which made for probably the most full dance floor we have ever seen, especially at the Rapids. Since everyone was dancing, the DJ setup a couples dance to see who had been married the longest. This is always one of our favorites to see and they even gave the winners a beautiful bouquet of flowers. From this point on was just pure party and fun whether it be forming a line going around the entire building, lifting their hands up and yelling “shout”, throwing the bouquet and even a bunch of fun line dances. They ended off the night with a super fun streamer exit and hopped into their SUV to drive off into the night as Mr. and Mrs. Taylor.
