We loved getting to meet this sweet couple in person and getting to talk a little bit of parent stuff as well as wedding stuff and learning more about them and their interests is one of the things that we love about engagement sessions. Getting to know our couples before the wedding day is such a fun and needed process that helps us to see some moments through their eyes a little more on the wedding day and notice moments more. We originally met them via Zoom back in September where we also got to know some of their story about how they met back in High School and then got engaged back in 2019 by the Savannah River. Also, how he likes to do outdoor things like hunting and fishing while she mentioned spending time with her Mom and shopping are high on her list which already paints a beautiful picture of their family and story and we cannot wait to tell even more of their story come the beautiful wedding day in Fall of 2023!
Andrew & Samantha's Engagement Session
We loved meeting with Andrew and Samantha a while ago and learning about how they met online back the mid 2000’s then eventually met back up over breakfast. At this session we got to meet Samantha’s Mom and their adorable blind dog Stevie who may actually be one of the softest dogs ever. Once we got to the session at Rose Hill, we made our way up the hill to the back of the hotel and then started taking photos and got a few with Stevie in there as well. We enjoyed joking around and getting to know them a little better and ended with figuring out everyone’s dinner plans where they started heading back home and we actually stayed and tried the food at the Stables at Rose Hill because we’ve wanted to try it for a while and never worked out to have the time. Turns out that it’s delicious and has a super cool vibe. We are super excited for their beautiful wedding day at Windsor Manor later this Fall!

Scott & Samantha Helen Engagement Session
We cannot say enough about Scott and Sam honestly. This session was absolutely perfect through and through. We had a fun phone call a little while back with Samantha and even from then we all got to play around with ideas of where we could do their photos and ended up landing on this beautiful mountain top winery near Helen that we suggested. Yonah Mountain Vineyards sounds exactly like what it is but the view can still be surprising once you get to the top or even the bottom where you see the second half of this session. The Vineyard even let them take glasses with their favorite wine for some of the photos and we couldn’t be more happy that we got to make a little picnic in the grass look like some sort of Wine Country magical moment.
After the session, we also got to invite them along for dinner in Helen at a delicious German place that we had heard about and there we learned more about Scott’s German heritage as well as basically everyone at the tables heritage that we know of as well as diving into fun conversations like Lord of the Rings and Marvel as well as a little bit of our Mexico trips that almost overlapped. Sessions like these make what we do the most fun job in the world and getting to know people that we have a crazy amount of things in common with is just the cherry on top! We’re honored to have been a part of this session and to meet these wonderful people and cannot wait to see what the future holds with the wedding coming up soon!

Clayson & Rebecca's Engagement Photos
We have known both Rebecca and Clayson for years separately and in different settings even so, getting to see them together and so happy makes us so happy too! I have some pretty fun memories with Clayson and his cousins so already being friends with them made for a super fun session where everyone was already well acquainted. We had looked at a few possibilities for engagement photo locations but landed on Phinizy Swamp which I am super glad we did. It was beautiful and is so big, that I had not explored the other entrance much where they had been so we got to have some beautiful golden hour photos with moss for a very low country type setting that was perfect. We absolutely cannot wait for their wedding day
