Brian & Autumn

Brian and Autumn’s wedding day at White Oak Road Farm was everything you could not just hope for but, dream about. It was absolutely gorgeous and full of so many fun moments and seeing these families coming together made for such a special day in Appling, just outside of Augusta, GA.

The day started with of course saying hey and then diving into detail photos and then straight into Autumn getting into her beautiful wedding dress with the help of her Mom. After that, Autumn did a few first looks with two of the very important men in her life which then led straight into all of her girls enjoying a quick drink on the porch as well as the formal photos with all of her girls as well as them going back in to touch up and relax for a bit and then doing the formals for the Groomsmen as well. Then it was time for the ceremony and all of their well dressed guests started arriving to see their custom newspaper and making their way to their seats. Once Brian and the entire wedding party and family had made their way to the front, the ring bearer and flower girl made their way down preparing for Autumn. Once Brian finally saw Autumn, it became such an emotional and beautiful moment for everyone. During the ceremony, Brian and Autumn shared their vows and rings in a gorgeous hillside setting and sealed the deal with their kiss. As they walked back up the aisle together as Mr. and Mrs. Marter, everyone cheered and threw dried flower petals making for such a joyful moment all around. After the ceremony, we then did their family formals and the full wedding party together as well as taking the bride and groom down by the pond for some of their formals which led straight into preparing for the reception.

Once they entered into the reception full of gorgeous boho decor, the custom signage and cheering from their closest friends and family. They entered straight into party mode and did their first dance, the bride and important men of her life dance and the mother and son dance as well. From here, everyone enjoyed dinner, toasts, cake cutting, glow sticks making their way to the dance floor as well as just a fun night of dancing and drinks for everyone. Shortly after, Autumn gave a heartfelt toast and snuck away for a dress change to end off the party with some more flair. At the end of the night, the new bride and groom shared a last dance together alone and then made their way into the sparkler exit ending off the night surrounded by so many of their favorite people cheering them on while waving around their sparklers and glow sticks. This couple is so amazing and we know Brian and Autumn have a bright future ahead as well as their families and we’re so excited for them!

Alex & Cassie

Alex and Cassie had such a classic wedding day at The Barn at Sanderlin Horse Farm in Appling, Georgia in the Fall of 2023. The day was so full of family, friends and a ton of moments that formed such a beautiful thread throughout the wedding day that we’re so excited we were able to be a part of.

The day started off with details, florals all over the place and of course, the obvious part, getting ready with some of their most favorite people. This led to some amazing first look moments with the bridesmaids, brothers and even a little bit of a mother and son one that wasn’t planned at all and then ended off with the Bride and Groom’s first look. Every single one had great emotions and warm embraces with so much meaning in each one and the groom had to wipe tears away twice and some of the Bridesmaids were trying to keep their makeup together too. We then kicked into the wedding party photos and a few sibling photos as well just before getting ready for the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the Groom’s uncle was the officiant and we saw a bunch of emotional moments as well. There were beautiful readings, a ton of jokes and references to movies, their vows to each other and they sealed the end of the ceremony with a kiss surrounded by cheers from their loved ones. As they exited the ceremony, we switched into the family formals as everyone enjoyed cocktail hour as well which ended off with getting ready for the entrances to the reception.

During the reception, there were a bunch of fun poses with the entrances which led into so many beautiful dances, dinner, cake cutting, a garter toss and a super special twist on a bouquet toss where she handed all of the girls a rose and then prayed over them all. This all then kicked off speeches, a night full of dancing and joy where we got to meet some of their amazingly fun guests and see their personalities shine which then setup for such a fun fake exit where they got into the car and drove just a bit then circled back and ended the night back on the dance floor. This couple is so perfect together and their future is bright so we cannot wait to watch what comes next for the Crows!

Matt & Anna

Well, this one is another one close to heart which is crazy that our past 3 blog posts were good friends before. For some perspective, we photographed their best friends’ wedding back in 2017, their whole friend group getting baptized the following year following great loss of their friends and then Matt also went on a mission trip to Haiti with us in 2019. A lot has happened since then that has brought this couple’s family together even still and getting to know we’ve photographed so many big events for their lives is so special but, this day at a friends event property on the Savannah River of course holds such a huge and special place in the list.

The day itself started with us meeting up with Rashelle (our 3rd shooter for the day) and saying hey to everyone. We instantly grabbed details from Anna for photos and I made my way downstairs with the guys for some getting ready photos and once we finished all of those up, we took the dress outside and got to take some adorable photos of their daughters in the dress just before Anna got into the dress as well. As soon as she was in her dress, we got their boys mic’d up and in place for a first look with Anna and honestly the boys are just hilarious in general and their reactions were funny but they still had a loving moment too which then transitioned straight into the next first look with her Step Dad and Brother. It was super sweet and they all shared some great hugs and that was bringing us close to ceremony time but we had one more thing to do which was their first touch right before for them to just hear each other’s voices and say how excited they were. The ceremony started with everyone being driven down the hill on a trailer attached to the back of a truck and once they hopped off the back and formed a line, everyone made their way down the aisle with a few stars of the show being all of the kids and then their flower man/beer passer outer guy. During the ceremony the whole family came up to complete a unity puzzle and they also exchanged some beautiful and personally written vows. After they said their I-do’s and sealed the deal with a kiss. They walked back up the aisle together as the Joyner’s and as they started taking the chairs up to the reception tent, we transitioned into family and wedding party photos leading into their couple’s portraits which fell into Golden Hour perfectly for some gorgeous sunset light.

As everyone prepared to enter into the reception tent, they all planned out what to do. Once they began entering, they all danced or did something as a fun gesture which the finale was Matt and Anna entering in with a twirl into their first dance. That sweet dance was then followed by Anna and her Step Dad sharing a dance and then Matt and his Mom as well. Everyone then went to get some delicious tacos for dinner. As the night rolled around more and the open dance floor was filled, it began turning more and more into a hilarious and fun party for everyone. At one point they took a break and made their way inside to cut the cake and even shared some with their youngest Blakeleigh. From there, it was even more open dance floor, bouquet and garter tosses then the last big formal event was toasts. They had a few that were planned toasts and then a few that weren’t and it’s easily to tell that everyone loves and cherishes the Joyner family so much. They ranged from everyone crying to everyone belly laughing so, I can only imagine how those will turn out for the wedding videos later. We ended our night with them at the sparkler exit by the front porch and streamed lights which worked out perfectly. We love this family and are excited for their future and seeing the kiddos growing up over the years to come!
