Brian & Autumn

Brian and Autumn’s wedding day at White Oak Road Farm was everything you could not just hope for but, dream about. It was absolutely gorgeous and full of so many fun moments and seeing these families coming together made for such a special day in Appling, just outside of Augusta, GA.

The day started with of course saying hey and then diving into detail photos and then straight into Autumn getting into her beautiful wedding dress with the help of her Mom. After that, Autumn did a few first looks with two of the very important men in her life which then led straight into all of her girls enjoying a quick drink on the porch as well as the formal photos with all of her girls as well as them going back in to touch up and relax for a bit and then doing the formals for the Groomsmen as well. Then it was time for the ceremony and all of their well dressed guests started arriving to see their custom newspaper and making their way to their seats. Once Brian and the entire wedding party and family had made their way to the front, the ring bearer and flower girl made their way down preparing for Autumn. Once Brian finally saw Autumn, it became such an emotional and beautiful moment for everyone. During the ceremony, Brian and Autumn shared their vows and rings in a gorgeous hillside setting and sealed the deal with their kiss. As they walked back up the aisle together as Mr. and Mrs. Marter, everyone cheered and threw dried flower petals making for such a joyful moment all around. After the ceremony, we then did their family formals and the full wedding party together as well as taking the bride and groom down by the pond for some of their formals which led straight into preparing for the reception.

Once they entered into the reception full of gorgeous boho decor, the custom signage and cheering from their closest friends and family. They entered straight into party mode and did their first dance, the bride and important men of her life dance and the mother and son dance as well. From here, everyone enjoyed dinner, toasts, cake cutting, glow sticks making their way to the dance floor as well as just a fun night of dancing and drinks for everyone. Shortly after, Autumn gave a heartfelt toast and snuck away for a dress change to end off the party with some more flair. At the end of the night, the new bride and groom shared a last dance together alone and then made their way into the sparkler exit ending off the night surrounded by so many of their favorite people cheering them on while waving around their sparklers and glow sticks. This couple is so amazing and we know Brian and Autumn have a bright future ahead as well as their families and we’re so excited for them!

Miguel & Taylor

First of all, props to Miguel for the really cool proposal in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas. That was one of the awesome stories that we got to hear when we had our initial meeting with this couple back in December of last year. All of the details lined up to be beautiful and right up our alley so we knew that this day and couple would bring us a ton of joy from the very start. The big day took place at one of our favorite local venues as well, White Oak Road Farm in Appling, GA. Now that we’ve set the scene a little bit, let’s talk about the beautiful wedding day.

As mentioned above, it was all at the same venue and the ceremony was scheduled to start at 4:30 but we started our day with them right around 2 PM and started off straight into photographing details after saying hey to Taylor. We got to work with one of our favorite local florists, Honeycomb Florals and she even had some extra flowers and stems for us to have with detail photos (she is literally the best). Once we got all of the smaller details finished and it was time to photograph the dress, we had to move some family around inside the main house to avoid them seeing the dress too early and then set it up up stairs carefully to be photographed. From there, Morgan and I split up and I went with the guys to get just a little bit of them getting ready and take them outside for their group photos. Miguel and his guys were all hilarious and so we were pretty quick once everyone was ready and had a good time just before sending them back inside to blockade so we could bring Taylor and her girls outside for their group photos but first thing was first, the Bridesmaids reveal and Father/Daughter 1st look. We had all of the girls in place and then brought Taylor out to fluff the dress and make sure everyone was ready and then as soon as they all turned, they lost it pretty quickly and I don’t think anyone was prepared for the happy tears to start (they pretty much kept going for the rest of the day until the reception). Once Taylor wiped a few tears and was ready, we brought her Dad out for their first look next. We love these moments because you never know what the reaction will be but it’s always super sweet and wholesome but, Steve lost it when he saw his little girl in her dress and we’re not going to even lie, we had to wipe a few tears ourselves after that beautiful moment. We all quickly pulled ourselves together once finished hugging and then all of the girls came outside for their photos with the Bride and then were on our way to the ceremony to get ready as they all lined up. It was here that we got to meet the Officiant, Nick, and figure out our angles of coverage and see what to expect with the Sun setting to the right of the ceremony and before we knew it, Grandparents were making their way down the hill. Once everyone made their way to the ceremony accompanied by the hilarious cheering of a relative, Miguel was facing away until his Bride made it the start of the aisle. He did a great job of holding it together up until the moment that she was being handed off by her Dad which is where he let some of those tears out but, the pure joy all over the entire ceremony was contagious. They exchanged beautiful vows that made us wish we were doing a video for them and everyone was crying until the moment where Nick uttered those magical words, “You may kiss your bride”. They had tied the knot officially and made their way back up the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. Lantigua. It’s in this moment where we start gearing up for the family, bridal party and couples photos as soon as the guests have all or mostly made their way to the reception. We quickly got the families to the reception after their photos were finished and then the same with the wedding party. It was at this point that we did a few of just the couple near the ceremony site before taking a golf cart down the hill to the pond for a few more. We always love this part of the day and are always honored to be a part of some of the first quiet moments for the newlyweds before going into the reception and seeing the joy and love in their interactions. Being that the Sun sets at 5:30 this time of the year, it began getting dark pretty quickly so we finished off with just a few bridal portraits before getting back on the golf cart and taken to the reception where Taylor would have her dress bustled for the introductions and dances. Once the wedding party had all danced their way into the reception, the whole place erupt with cheering as the newlyweds were announced in and they went straight into their first dance. That was followed by the Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance which were all so incredibly sweet and full of these tiny little moments of loving embraces or tears of joy being shared which led to everyone basically having a hand full of tissues coming off the dance floor.

It was officially that time of the night where the DJ gets to take over and everyone gets to eat some delicious food which is exactly what happened but in a way that you don’t normally see because the two were intertwined in a way we hadn’t seen before. With the okay from the Bride and Groom of course, Kelly (the coordinator and second half of the DJ team) got to take over the mic and have people perform for their dinner as a fun game. That was either singing or dancing and this was probably due to knowing that they had so much talent in the venue that night because we saw everything from an acapella group to and operatic singer to many talented dancers and sweet couples enjoying a quick slow dance. Once everyone was finishing enjoying their delicious meal, we got to check out the photobooth setup outside that was gifted by the Mother of the Bride and not only was it really cool but, Leigh Zurek who runs Southeastern Exposure was an absolute joy to meet. From here we made our way back inside for a little bit of dancing and then cutting the cake/toasts. The toasts were full of many laughs and some tears and super heartfelt gestures which we loved getting to capture. During the night we also came to the Bouquet and Garter toss moments and another surprise and hilarious moment was during the Garter removal where a bunch of different people came out of the crowd with a “key to Miguel’s place” to release him of any worry and there’s so many funny moments here that we couldn’t possibly share all of them without this being one of the longest blogs ever photo wise. After that the party got started and everyone was dancing for a while before arriving to a special couples dance to see who had been married the longest. As the night was slowly winding down, we had a huge sparkler line heading out of the front door going up the hill to do a send off followed by going right back inside to the party because they weren’t actually leaving yet. Other than seeing so much fun being had dancing and the newlyweds being covered with love, the last event of our night before leaving was one that is hard to put into words. A bridesmaid had planned to get into a hot dog costume and surprise Taylor on the dance floor for one last funny moment to capture. So if you had already left at this point and are reading this, you missed out and will have to look out for Taylor sharing those photos here soon! It was an absolute honor to be a part of the joyous day and we know without a doubt that the Lantigua family has big things ahead for them and we couldn’t be more excited to see what happens next!

Oliver & Ansley

These two are so joyful and sweet. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of their special day!

We arrived early in the day to greet Ansley as she was getting her hair and makeup done. She had gifted all her bridesmaids with matching pajamas and robes and they were all strutting around happily, drinks in hand with beautifully quaffed hair and elegant makeup ready to go. We took all of the details outside to the front porch and played around with different ideas for flatlays. She had so many sweet and sentimental details, from her something blue to the something borrowed, they all had a special meaning to her. As we finished up with details and venue photos, we went back inside and all split up to cover the guys, more details and girls getting ready. As we photographed the girls in their robes together, the guys were getting their boutonnieres pinned on to do their group photos. Once we had all of the photos of the wedding party, the sweet father daughter first look followed by the bride and groom’s first look, we went on an adventure with the couple around the property to take beautiful romantic photos! There are so many acers that we hopped on a golf cart to get down to a few different spots, almost throwing Tom, our third shooter off the cart along the way. (We were all a little excited about these beautiful pictures… and Tom is fine by the way!). Once we had finished all of those shots, we got set up for the ceremony, which included a live stream. Everything went off without a hitch, and Oliver and Ansley finally got to say “I do”!

There is a southern tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon upside down at your wedding site exactly a month before your wedding, and it’s suppose to ward off bad weather. I’m not going to say it works… but every couple of ours that has done this has had beautiful weather on their wedding day, and what a fun thing to share with your wedding party after the ceremony.

Oliver and Ansley then took a few minutes to themselves before being introduced and going into their first dance. Their band was absolutely wonderful and made us want to dance right along with them. Family and friends spent the rest of the night dancing and having a good time celebrating the union of these two sweet people.

We want to wish all the happiness and blessing to the happy couple for all the years to come and feel so privileged to have been a part of it.

Trey & Emily

1-4-2020

We had the honor of meeting this amazing couple at the engagement session we posted here. We originally met with their planners Wesley Cadle and Megan Thrash over coffee and just a short time later we did the session and got to know Trey and Emily and had an amazing time with them!

Fast forward to the wedding day (which felt like it showed up in no time at all) and we had our third shooter with Trey and the boys at Men’s Refinery in downtown Augusta while we met up with the bride and everyone else at the venue and started having fun right away with all of the girls photographing dresses and details then doing the big reveal once Emily was in her dress to her girls and a few actually shed some tears which was amazing to be a part of. We then did the first look with her father right after out on the porch and he managed to keep it together but just barely but it was so sweet seeing them together and his interaction with his granddaughter Finley and just how loved she is from literally everyone at the wedding. We also did all of the group photos that we could before they see each other and then Emily read a letter from Trey that made her cry and set the tone for the beautiful first look we were about experience. We try to get the first look set up and then just let them have their moment and that’s exactly what happened, he turned around and just couldn’t stop from smiling and then it turned to holding back tears quickly and they just hugged and kissed while we could hear the bridal party up the hill watching from a distance and yelling when he turned around which was so fun. We road the Golf Cart back up to the house to take family and full bridal party photos.

Next was the ceremony time which came together flawlessly and it was so adorable to hear Trey’s vows to Finley while Emily just had a big smile on her face hearing them. They both said their I do’s and tied the knot officially and ran off to go back up the hill to hide away together for a little bit as newly weds while everything in the venue transformed for cocktail hour and the reception (behind the scenes was crazy impressive we must say seeing that come together quickly and looking so elegant still). Mostly everyone headed into the tent outside where they had heaters and open bars that everyone seemed to enjoy for a little while then we headed back in while The Rising Tide (the band) got ready to play and introduce the bridal party and the bride and groom. They went into their first dance to “I get to love you” by Ruelle which was beautiful followed by the father daughter and mother and son dances. Emily’s parents took the stage a little after to give their toasts to the bride and groom and thanked a lot of the people involved and talked about the hustle and bustle of getting the day together and welcomed Trey to the family with a word of advice about faith and enjoying the journey. They then cut the gorgeous cake that Dianna Tornow made for them and of course there was a little bit of an extra smear with icing here and there which was a cute little funny moment they had. A few more sweet speeches and a bouquet and garter toss came up next followed by a night full of fun dancing and snacks from Zaxby’s (we had never seen this and thought it was a great idea and it was hilarious to see everyones pure joy over chicken fingers). As the dancing went on, a few surprise poppers made their way into the crowd and were shot off near the last dance which set the tone for their grand exit of having fake snow thrown all over them while they walked through everyone and gave some last minute but super meaningful hugs right before they left in their limo to ride off into the night as Mr and Mrs Morrison! We have had a fun time seeing their adventures in St. Lucia for their honeymoon and wish them and little Finley a full life of love and happy marriage together. We are so excited about the video we are working on for their wedding day and seeing how all of these beautiful moments come together to make a real tear jerker of a film! Congrats to the happy couples and it’s easy to see that you were meant to be #meanttobemorrison
