We got to meet Tyler and Jordan through a zoom meeting recently and got to know a little bit about them. Like the fact that they went to the riverbanks zoo to do a “film project” for a friend and he proposed. Or the fact that he puts cute little notes in her lunch box and she loves to sneak attack him with hugs. We immediately could tell that this would be such a fun couple to photograph and we were absolutely right!. We planned the engagement session hoping for a little bit of fall colors which there weren’t a whole lot showing but we had a fun adventure walking around a park they had never been to. We cannot wait to capture their big day next September!
Oliver & Ansley
These two are so joyful and sweet. It was an absolute pleasure being a part of their special day!
We arrived early in the day to greet Ansley as she was getting her hair and makeup done. She had gifted all her bridesmaids with matching pajamas and robes and they were all strutting around happily, drinks in hand with beautifully quaffed hair and elegant makeup ready to go. We took all of the details outside to the front porch and played around with different ideas for flatlays. She had so many sweet and sentimental details, from her something blue to the something borrowed, they all had a special meaning to her. As we finished up with details and venue photos, we went back inside and all split up to cover the guys, more details and girls getting ready. As we photographed the girls in their robes together, the guys were getting their boutonnieres pinned on to do their group photos. Once we had all of the photos of the wedding party, the sweet father daughter first look followed by the bride and groom’s first look, we went on an adventure with the couple around the property to take beautiful romantic photos! There are so many acers that we hopped on a golf cart to get down to a few different spots, almost throwing Tom, our third shooter off the cart along the way. (We were all a little excited about these beautiful pictures… and Tom is fine by the way!). Once we had finished all of those shots, we got set up for the ceremony, which included a live stream. Everything went off without a hitch, and Oliver and Ansley finally got to say “I do”!
There is a southern tradition of burying a bottle of bourbon upside down at your wedding site exactly a month before your wedding, and it’s suppose to ward off bad weather. I’m not going to say it works… but every couple of ours that has done this has had beautiful weather on their wedding day, and what a fun thing to share with your wedding party after the ceremony.
Oliver and Ansley then took a few minutes to themselves before being introduced and going into their first dance. Their band was absolutely wonderful and made us want to dance right along with them. Family and friends spent the rest of the night dancing and having a good time celebrating the union of these two sweet people.
We want to wish all the happiness and blessing to the happy couple for all the years to come and feel so privileged to have been a part of it.

Devin and Valerie
Devin and Valerie were a last minute due to Covid-19 situation and we got to hop on a zoom meeting to meet Valerie a few weeks before and could tell that we would love being a part of their wedding day already. Having not even met Devin yet, once we met on the wedding day he was super kind and so happy so we thoroughly enjoyed the wedding day with them both. It was such beautiful weather and a nice cool breeze blew through on their hilltop ceremony at the Big Red Barn in Aiken.
We started the day with details as we always do and grabbed her beautiful dress from Elegant Bridals to adventure out and find the spot we wanted to hang the dress and landed on the big sliding barn door. We photographed all of the venue and reception details also as well as a few getting ready shots with the guys. Before too long, it was close to time for the ceremony and the guests waited in the shade before going to their seats. Once everyone started heading that way and everyone made their way down the aisle to the music, the bride was brought over on the golf cart to make her entrance. It was such a beautiful and intimate ceremony and once they said their I-do’s they kissed and happily made their way back up the aisle together as husband and wife!
We then knocked out the few family formals and bridal party photos before venturing around the property a little more with the couple for their romantic sunset photos. We had some good laughs and did a few bridal portraits as well towards the end and then headed back to the barn for their entrance and dances. After that everyone hopped into line at the buffet for their dinner. We actually got to sit across from some friends of friends to talk over dinner and also met the mother a groom that we will be photographing next September which was a fun small world scenario! Shortly after dinner, they grabbed their champagne glasses and headed to the champagne fountain for the toast and cake cutting. After that all that was left was the bouquet and garter tosses which as seen in the photos, had a lot of anticipation and were hilarious! All of that was done in a 5 hour time span and we had time at the end to get a photo with their truck that they would be driving away in later on. Once we finished those shots, we said our goodbyes and congratulated them and wished them safe travels for their honeymoon! We are so excited for this sweet couples and cannot wait to see what the next chapter holds for their lives together!

Matt & Mackenzie
Matt and Mackenzie literally had a perfect wedding day that fit their joyful fun-loving personality and just some gorgeous details too! To start, Mackenzie loves leopard print and it shows. She had leopard print shoes and her outfit for getting ready was entirely leopard print and we wouldn’t have had it any other way! We had never gotten to photograph a wedding in Macon but are super happy that this destination wedding was our first! The couple is actually from Savannah but hopped on I-16 to head over and tie the knot! The venue is absolutely gorgeous and has just about everything you could ask for in a venue but is also in one of the most unassuming spots in downtown Macon.
Starting the wedding over in the bridal suite where all the girls were getting ready, we got to say hey and meet all of Mackenzie’s girls before starting on details which we did quickly take to the courtyard area where the ceremony would be held to be sure that we could get as much done out of sight of the groom showing up. Before too long the guys were showing up and getting ready so we brought the girls out with their mimosas before they were in their dresses completely ready and snapped a few photos. Once the guys were a little more ready, we snuck in to have Matt read a card from Mackenzie for the video and then took all of the guys outside for their photos as well. Things got goofy really quick and we discovered the groom’s favorite band is actually the Allman Brothers Band (you will see his socks had their logo and also later you will see a representative from “The Big House” which is the band’s museum that brought them some trinkets).
Later on, as the courtyard filled with their friends and family, Tee Smith started playing music on the keyboard and that would start the processional. She made her way around the courtyard fountain and he just smiled from ear to ear. They started the ceremony and everything went perfectly until they went to light the unity candle and the wind kept blowing it out but everyone had a good laugh and it eventually lit. They said their vows, tied the knot and made their way back up the aisle to the tune of “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” as performed by Tee and Tee Jr. in a very amazingly theatrical performance. We then turned into family formal mode and then bridal party. Once we finished the formals, we got to whisk them away for a bit for the romantic photos and we had a great time with them. Fast forward a little bit and we headed in with their entrance and the toasts right away. Just a little bit later they had their magical first dance and the mother son/father daughter dances before breaking into party mode (which the dj was just absolutely amazing. Everyone danced into the night (especially the father of the bride). We ended the night not with a typical exit, but just a romantic last few photos under the outdoor lights and them walking out as just the two of them and saying our goodbyes.
