Jonathan & Katelynn

We got the chance to meet up with Jonathan and Katelynn at Starbucks in December back before everything turned into zoom meetings due to Covid-19. They had been shopping around for wedding related things around Augusta so it worked out perfectly to meet then and they were such a sweet couple from the start. We learned that they met at school and started spending a lot of time at the fair together and it was all downhill from there! He got his niece in on the proposal and obviously she said yes.

We were already excited to get there for the wedding day and had never been to Jackson’s Landing so it was a first (which is always fun for us). Once we arrived, we walked around the ceremony site really quick to get a feel for the area and met some of the other vendors. We then went into the newly built bridal suite (basically a separate house) and said hey to Katelynn and the rest of the girls before starting on details. We noticed some really cool old pink furniture in the other room and decided to use that for a decent amount of the details since it matched with their colors pretty well. Once we finished up with details we split off with Morgan staying with the girls and then I went to go do the venue details and meet up with the guys. They had already seen each other in their wedding attire previously so we got to have freedom of walking around before the ceremony some and doing a few of the photos that we would be doing after the ceremony typically. Once we got to the ceremony, everyone got to take in the stunning scenery and hear them exchange their vows. They kissed and walked back up the aisle together as happy as can be and we then went on to do family formals, some more bridal party and couples portraits. Once we got over to the reception they went straight into their first dance to kick off the party. Once they finished the formal dances the band kicked into their live performance and pretty much everyone hit the dance floor and had a great time! Come time for their send off, everyone lined up with bubbles and sent them off to ride away into the night as Mr. and Mrs. Fanning! It was such a beautiful wedding day and the rest of the #foreverfanning story is yet to be told but we’re totally here for it!

Brendan & Sarah

8-15-2020

Where do we even start with this amazing couple? They were some of the first to know about our pregnancy, they have kept us going with “The Office” memes during Covid-19, among so many other things that just put them in a spot close to our hearts. One thing that we love about what we do for a living is the fact that we are able to see people that we have come to know and love tie the knot on one of the happiest days of their lives. When we get the chance to do engagement sessions with our couples and meet beforehand, we find that we have skin in the game and are so invested and happy for them and that was definitely the situation here. Anyways, onto the wedding day story!

We were doing photo and video for this wedding and had our third shooter Tom with us to help cover everything so we met up with him and got there early to walk around the venue space a little and get familiar since we had not photographed a wedding out there yet. After that we went into the bridal suite to say hey to all of the girls and grab some details to go photograph while they were half way into makeup and everything still so we did that and eventually during the getting ready process the guys were ready so, after I filmed a little part of Sarah reading her card to Brendan, Tom and I took the guys outside and did the group photos and some individuals of Brendan as well. We then finished up with Sarah getting ready and took the girls outside and once we got back inside it was time to setup for the father daughter first look, and first touch for Brendan and Sarah where they would read their notes to each other. By that time it was getting super close to time for the ceremony so I left Morgan and Tom to do the Mother Son first look while I went and setup another camera for the ceremony video and was joined shortly by the rest of the team. Everything went perfectly and it held off raining just long enough for everyone to get under the covering and most of the ceremony to be over with. They said their I do’s and the priest was actually hilarious and made some unexpected jokes and everyone made their way back up the aisle and then it started raining again so we all hid out under a covered porch just around the corner while we waited to go back for family formal photos at the ceremony area and it didn’t take long at all. We knocked those out and then walked over to the green up on a hill for the full wedding party group photos and some couples photos. A rainbow ended up popping up in the background for a few minutes before it faded away, you can actually spot a little bit of in the first bridal party photo on the green.

Fast forward a little, the introductions and dances all take place and the couple’s first dance was beautifully choreographed to Frank Sinatra’s “Fly me to the moon”. Once they finished all of the dances and we got to the speeches, Sarah’s dad took the first speech to thank everyone and welcome them to the reception. He started by pulling out a long piece of paper from his coat pocket and stated that it was the receipt for the wedding day and you could tell no one was prepared for the joke because everyone laughed so loud and the couple looked so surprised that he broke the paper out like that. All of the other reception moments were perfect and once they got to the open dance floor, the dj threw out some hits by Smash Mouth and Sarah sang every single word while they were surrounded by friends. If that doesn’t perfectly describe how fun they are, I am not sure what does.

A little bit of time passed and it was time for the couples grand exit to their limo so, we got everyone lined up outside and started lighting the sparklers. They exited out and everyone cheered for them and they were intentional about stopping one last time before getting in the limo to look back and say bye to everyone which was just a sweet moment. They then got into the limo and had a few bags thrown into the trunk before the road off into the night to go on their honeymoon to Montego Bay! Needless to say that we are honored to call them friends and cannot wait to see what else happens in the lives of the Dufek family! #IdotoDufek

Williams Newborn Session

Covid-19 doesn’t stop precious moments from happening or being important and we’re so glad that we are still able to capture those moments! In this case, we got to visit the lovely home of this adorable family (we wore masks and sanitized of course). Even though we don’t offer props of our own, we absolutely love and encourage having personal ones like these stuffed animals and the blanket that belonged to his dad, etc. We also love animals and they brought out the dogs and it was so cute to see them be so gentle and well behaved (treats always help). We love being able to tell a story and having the chance to photograph their little Noah surrounded by all of his toys, pets and props just made for a great session.

Hunter & Alexis

Hunter and Alexis both were so kind hearted and we loved getting to know them through our zoom meetings! It’s very easy to spot how perfect they are as a couple in the sense that they balance each other out so well. They might as well glow in each other’s presence!

This was a smaller wedding day in the sense that we were only there for a little while which means we had to take it all in and work quickly even around the rain and of course the whole Covid-19 precautions can make for a very different wedding day but that stopped none of the beautiful moments! It was a very intimate in person ceremony where there were about the same amount of people in attendance as there were in the bridal party but, the beauty of it is that they had the ceremony live streamed for their family that couldn’t be there which is such a great option for these interesting times! Anyways, to the wedding day!

We show up to the venue and got to meet Alexis’ dad right as we got out of the car as he stepped outside for a minute and being that we’re not familiar with the venue, he kindly pointed us in the right direction. We ran into Hunter and he showed us around a little bit and that helped us decide what we wanted to do for details so we quickly went to the bridal area to say hey and get all of the details together for photos. Once we got it all back to her and split off for me to go with the guys, time flew by pretty quick and it was getting close to ceremony time. I went ahead to get the camera for video ready that we had and got Hunter mic’d up then Morgan joined shortly after. Everyone made their way down the aisle perfectly and the priest at the UGA catholic center “Father Bryan” shared beautiful words and advice for the couple. They said their I do’s and tied the knot then happily walked back up the aisle together. Being that everyone there was close family for the family photos, we pretty much hopped straight into that and got a few inside and then went out front for the rest which is when it started to rain a little. We grabbed our umbrellas and then ended up not needing them since it was only enough rain to be considered good luck on their wedding day before it left! It was all downhill from there, literally! We walked down a hill to some of the garden areas in the back of the parking lot and did a few more photos with the couple and their bridal party and then just like that, it was everything they wanted and time to leave. We helped send them off with one last ‘congratulations’ and then headed back home.

It never fails to amaze us that we get to do this for a living and we get to meet amazing people and play a part in telling their love stories! Thank you both for having us and trusting us with your wedding day, we are excited for you as you start this new chapter that is full of possibilities and moment after moment where you get to create a life with your best friend!
