Grant & Chasity

Where do we even begin with Grant and Chasity? Not only was this wedding day at Perry’s Landing absolutely gorgeous but, this is one of the sweetest couples ever and they have shown and inspiring amount of grace as parents and a family going through years of tough situations and constant hospital visits but always come out on the other side as such a strong family. This day played such a huge role in the story and the fact that it was full of so much joy and beauty was so fun to be a part of.

The day itself started off with Tom, Aaron, Theresa and myself (Jordan) showing up and splitting off to capture the day doing details and getting ready to begin with. As we finished up all of the details and everyone was nearing finishing getting dressed, Chasity’s Mom helped with the final touches on her dress just before the first look. Once we had Grant in place, we called to have Chasity come out and he turned and had a huge smile and they got to share a little moment together before the day kicked into high gear. Afterwards, Chasity hid behind Grant as we got her Dad in place for a first look with him as well and, I am not sure if anyone expected the tears but, it was such a sweet moment as well. We still had some time before the ceremony so we went ahead and did some wedding party photos as well as a few family and couples portraits after before they needed to hide away for the ceremony. As guests started to arrive, they were in place and we setup our extra cameras as well and planned a few drone shots. During the ceremony you see mostly Grant’s best man who came from Charleston (I believe) to support his friend right next to Grant who is smiling from ear to ear and even looks up at one point in a moment of pure bliss that the moment has finally arrived. After exchanging their vows and rings, they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked up the aisle as the Burtons officially with their boys coming just behind them. After the ceremony, we hopped into family formals and more couples portraits during golden hour.

As they were announced into the reception tent, everyone cheered and they went straight into their first dance as well as the Father and Daughter, Mother and Son and then Mother and Daughter dances which were all so sweet and we saw them share a few moments with their family during. From there we also went to do the cake cutting and toasts inside the barn at Perry’s Landing. The rest of the night was full of dancing, the bouquet toss, food of course and then ending the night with a sparkler exit surrounded by all of their favorite people. Since the wedding day, we have seen good news already on social media and know that amazing things are ahead for this beautiful family!

Nathan & Courtney

Who says you can’t find true love in Mcdonalds? That’s exactly what happened here when they both were working there and then fast forward to a beautiful proposal where Hilton Head was the setting which led us all the way to this gorgeous wedding day years later at Perry’s Landing in Hephzibah, GA.

The wedding day itself was full of jokes, tik-tok filming, tears, cats and pure joy. It started with details and filming some of the earlier parts of their tik-toks and then it led into popping champagne for the girls. The guys were just down the road and as they finished getting ready, Nathan got to open up his watch and hand out a few groomsmen gifts as well. When we finished some of their group photos, we then made our way to the venue since the girls were finishing up getting ready and it was time to setup for the first look. First, Courtney and her Father shared a sweet first look and he had an amazing reaction. It’s clear to tell that he’s a fun Dad but also really loves his little girl and then that led into a quick move of the mic over to Nathan to get him into place as well. Their first look was super sweet and full of smiles which then also allowed for the rest of the wedding party to come on over for some group photos as well just before hiding away to start the ceremony.

The ceremony itself was just gorgeous and we loved that they were able to incorporate their cats as “flower cats” pushed by the flower girl down the aisle in a stroller. After they said their vows (which we loved and are excited for the film later on), they sealed the deal with a kiss and walked out together as Mr. and Mrs. Hooker. As the vibrant sunlight bathes the newlyweds and their entourage, we then got to highlight the elegance and grace of the bridal party, family and of course, the Bride and Groom. With glowing smiles and enchanting poses, the couple's journey unfolds seamlessly from the formal photos to the grand entrance of the reception. They started their first dance and watching them joyfully glide across the dance floor was a sight to behold. The magic doesn't end there; the father and daughter dance follows suit. Embraced in an emotional embrace, they transcend time, exchanging whispers and heartfelt expressions. Teary-eyed and proud, the mother and son take to the floor, the music guiding their delicate movements. That was then followed by dinner being served, the cake being cut and some absolutely delightful toasts. The night ended in the light of sparklers giving way to the newlyweds walking out together surrounded by cheers of their loved ones. We are so excited about the future of the Hooker family and cannot wait to see what their adventure together holds.

Joel & Lauren

Where do we even start with this wedding day? I suppose first is to say that Joel and Lauren complement each other so much and that seeing these two families coming together was one of the most fun parties and experiences to witness as Lauren is apparently amazing at making playlists to make everyone dance and enjoy themselves. The wedding day itself took place at Perry’s Landing in Hephzibah, GA right on the Waynesboro, GA line basically. The day was partially rainy but kept none of the magic from happening but does explain the amount of porch photos in some of the earlier part of the day and it just doesn’t appear near as rainy as it was.

We met Joel and Lauren a while ago but got to meet up with Lauren more recently for her Bridal Session at Pendleton King Park and get to know some of her family along with her better which made for a super fun session but also gave us an even better foundation for starting the Wedding Day off on a great foot with comfort and fun so we got to swing in and say hey to the girls and do some quick photos in their robes and then do all of the detail photos as well as film their letter readings in the midst of getting ready. Once everything was done and they were dressed, that was about when the rain started so we set up the first look on the front porch of the house that everyone gets ready in on the Perry’s Landing property. We also brought their adorable dog Finn (I think that’s how you spell it at least) for some photos with them and also had to show off Joel’s cool socks with Finn’s face on them. They also had buried a bottle of bourbon on the property and dug it up so we had everyone gather around on the porch to take a quick shot and celebrate and about the time we were finishing up with those photos we also had the fun plot twist of the venue losing power due to the storm but it had also stopped raining so, they were working on getting a generator going for the ceremony just in case and we made our way to set up for the ceremony as well. Right as the wedding party started making their way to the ceremony, the power turned back on luckily and everything stayed on schedule perfectly.

Once the ceremony started, everyone made their down the aisle of greenery, which is one of our favorite parts of Perry’s Landing, and we didn’t know it but Marty Baker from Stevens Creek Church was officiating and I knew him from when I used to play drums at Stevens Creek so it was cool to work with him. Once Joel was in place and everyone came down the aisle, Lauren and her Dad came down the aisle together. Joel held it together pretty well both times of seeing her but was super happy but, the same cannot be said for Lauren’s Sisters and family which was so sweet to see. The ceremony was beautiful and they exchanged personal vows which will probably show up in the highlight film some but there’s was a lot of crying and laughing on both sides of the aisle. Once the final phrase, you may kiss your bride, was uttered, they shared a kiss and made their way back up the aisle as the Pabon’s and full of joy. From here, we hopped into family photos and full wedding party in a different location besides the porch a little bit which didn’t take too long and then a few with Joel and Lauren around the property to quickly get them back to the reception to be announced in and start the party.

The reception began officially when the wedding party was all announced in and they did some fun dance moves then formed a line for the newlyweds to run through before going into their first dance. They shared a beautiful first dance and then we transitioned into prayer for the dinner that was prepared and everyone started working on getting their food. We also privately did their cake cutting and popped some bubbly for a quick toast and moment before the rest of the reception as a quick pause moment. Once everyone finished eating, we started back with where we left off and did the Father-Daughter dance and Mother-Son which then transitioned into another song and picked up to bring everyone else out on the dance floor. From here, there were so many funny and smaller moments that I don’t even know how to type them all but the photo and video probably shares those moments better than anything else could. At one point in the reception we got to catch up with another one of our favorite couples from May of last year who actually recommended us to Joel and Lauren and it was so great to see them happy and in love on the dance floor again. You would think that at some point the party turned down for a little bit but, no it actually just kept getting turned up more and more and it was so much fun to see what songs and moments brought everyone out to the dance floor. At one point, the wedding party devised a plan to charge the dance floor and start throwing the couple in the air which was a ton of fun and unexpected. They then got into some more of the formal moments like the bouquet and garter tosses which were followed by a game for the two that caught them both to have the guy move the garter up her leg until she said stop which we hadn’t seen before but turned out to be a ton of fun and full of crowd reactions around the circle. We then had the crowd line up and get ready for the fake sparkler send off which went perfectly and we even got to make an extra pass while the sparklers were still going and we then followed the couple back into the tent so they could share a private last slow dance moment together while everyone else was still putting out sparklers and then making their way slowly back to the tent to realize what was happening. As that dance finished, everyone else came to join them again on the dance floor and I would say the big ending of the night for us was when they started playing one of their favorite Clemson Tiger’s Marching Band classics and breaking out their Clemson flags to celebrate together. We got to give them a hug and say bye as they continued to enjoy their party but we know that great things are ahead for this sweet couple and we’re excited to see what that holds now that they just got back from their Honeymoon in Hawaii!

Erik & Caroline

8-18-2019

We got to meet Erik & Caroline over coffee back in May and help go over a lot for this wedding but, we were so excited as soon as they mentioned their ring Bear. That’s their dog’s name by the way, “Bear”. He was such a good boy and they were such an amazing couple so we knew we would love this wedding day but, I don’t think we actually knew how much!

Fast forward to August 18th, the wedding day! We got there a little early to work on details and say hey to everyone. We felt right at home with the girls and Morgan got to sing along with the Jonas Brothers they had playing in the girls room while photographing some of the makeup and hair getting done which, if I am being honest, is pretty much her natural state of being. So we photographed the details and snuck off with the dress before the guys showed up so Erik didn’t see and then they showed up a little bit later and so we split off and I went with the guys a little bit later. Their entire bridal party pretty much had us laughing the entire day and were easy to work with which is amazing!

Once everyone was ready we setup for a first look but with a surprise twist! She was going to stay in her robe and hide behind her cutout of Buddy the Elf with a bow tie on and it quickly turned into the funniest and cutest moment between the two of them. Right after that moment had finished, we started taking everyone over to where the horses had run up to have some photos of the girls in their custom robes and a few featuring Erik also. It was literally perfect timing for all of the horses to run up to eat and play (one of them was standing over his food and rolling in it being super playful, it was hilarious) so of course we took advantage before the girls all went and got in their dresses. Fast forward a little to the ceremony and we witnessed one of the most beautiful and intimate ceremonies where they exchanged their own hand written vows to each other and talked about how they met in Ocean City 10 years ago, how they had time apart during college but never completely, how she straight up called it that they would get married one day even though he thought she was crazy, how they lift each other up time and time again and now after all these years, they finally got to tie the knot! We loved hearing all of the vows but, the man vowed to make her all the Rosemary/Lavender drinks that her heart desires which seems like a good deal!

Right after the ceremony we hopped into family photos quickly and then whisked them away for some romantic couples photos in the sunset with the horses (we like to call them neigh neighs) and then drove them over to this beautiful pecan orchard right across the road. Perry’s Landing has so much to offer in such a close distance so, we had to take advantage while there was time and it was a blast to let the couple relax a little bit and just enjoy being together and taking it in some. We got them back to the venue with time to spare so they hung out in the house that they got ready in with their bridal party for a bit and then headed up to be announced into the reception. It quickly turned into a beautiful night of fun, laughter, dancing, cake cutting, bouquet tossing, tie throwing and beautiful speeches talking about family and new family that we are excited to go back and listen to for the highlight film soon! Later on after more dancing, we got to send them off with a beautiful sparkler exit which was a perfect color filled end to a perfect wedding day!
