Marcus & Lilly

We had a great chance to meet with Marcus and Lilly a while ago and already having mutual friends through their church family, when we did their engagement session came around (which you can see here), we already had a kinship and it made for an amazing session. That only transferred and made the wedding day even more laid back and fun! This beautiful wedding day took place between two different locations. It was our first time visiting at Warren Baptist Church and then the other location we have been to a lot, the Savannah Rapids Pavillion.

The day started with the girls in Evans where we did details and photographed them getting ready then split where I went to photograph the guys down the road for a little bit of getting ready with them before returning back to the girls to help with the reveal with the bridesmaids. Once the girls turned around and saw Lilly, they screamed with joy and then Lilly hit them with a hands in the hidden dress pockets twirl and they ran in to hug her making for an amazing moment. We then got her Dad and brought him out facing the other way to setup for their first look which turned into a beautiful and emotional moment once they hugged and we could tell he was fighting back tears. They finished their moment and took a few photos together and then we left to meet up with everyone at the Savannah Rapids Pavillion for the Bride and Groom’s first look and some group photos. Once we had Marcus setup, Lilly made her way out to him and tapped him on the shoulder for him to turn around. He had a huge smile on his face and they shared a sweet hug before heading down the stairs to meet up with the rest of the wedding party for group photos. Once we finished the group photos, we also did a few couples photos with Marcus and Lilly followed by us splitting up to meet back up at the church. Once everyone made it inside at Warren, we had a few minutes still of guests arriving and so Morgan and I took our places once the doors started shutting. It was split into the two aisles of the chapel so Morgan and I split up the aisles to get everyone coming down and then once it was Lilly’s turn, Morgan focused on Marcus as I photographed the Bride and her Father coming down the aisle at the same time. From here I went upstairs and Morgan stayed in the back of the chapel and we captured different angles of the ceremony where they prayed, took communion, exchanged rings and vows then finished off with their first kiss as husband and wife. They had so much joy on their face as they went back up the aisle together (they pretty much always have a ton of joy anyways but this was especially joyful). From here, we went to the prayer garden on the other side of the church grounds for the family formals and a few other couples portraits before driving to the reception at the Savannah Rapids Pavillion.

The reception was already full and felt like twice the amount of people than were at the ceremony somehow but we captured the details as everyone lined up to make their entrance and in just a matter of minutes everyone was dancing their way into the reception. Everyone had something funny for their entrance but there’s so many photos that it just didn’t make sense to blog them all here. Once they made it to their table, the food was blessed and in the next photo you see the toasts starting. Everyone’s toasts had such a different vibe and funny stories throughout so it was a lot of fun to hear and set a great tone for the rest of the reception. It was then time to do the dances where they had their first dance and at one point burst into laughter which was hard to not have a huge smile on your face seeing them having so much fun. They also did a Father/Daughter dance and Mother/Son dance before the cake cutting and then the dance floor opening up more. Right after the cake cutting, the first song that started playing had literally everyone singing. By the time the second song came on, I am pretty sure that maybe 8 people tops were still at their table instead of the dance floor which made for probably the most full dance floor we have ever seen, especially at the Rapids. Since everyone was dancing, the DJ setup a couples dance to see who had been married the longest. This is always one of our favorites to see and they even gave the winners a beautiful bouquet of flowers. From this point on was just pure party and fun whether it be forming a line going around the entire building, lifting their hands up and yelling “shout”, throwing the bouquet and even a bunch of fun line dances. They ended off the night with a super fun streamer exit and hopped into their SUV to drive off into the night as Mr. and Mrs. Taylor.

Charlie & Hannah

9-14-2019

Some months ago, we got to meet Charlie and Hannah and their dads for their engagement session and very quickly started to have a great time getting to know them and joke around. Fast forward to Saturday after speaking with them and Hannah’s sister/maid of honor helping plan for months, the day went beautifully! We started off with the girls at The Bobbi Pin Salon in Martinez and enjoying them getting their hair and makeup done while watching the game.

After a little while, we all headed over to Wesley UMC just down the road for the rest of getting ready and the ceremony. The ceremony went off without a hitch and they tied the knot in front of all their friends and family and you can see the pure joy as they were announced husband and wife and they walked back up the aisle together as the Folsoms! Directly after the ceremony, we hung around to do some family photos at the church and a few with the bridal party and couple but wanted to focus on getting most of those at the next location, the Savannah Rapids Pavilion. Once they arrived there in their limo, we walked down to the bride and photographed the entire bridal party and some more individuals and a sweet moment where Jack and Charlie hugged each other in a loving brother moment. Shortly after we dismissed and took the bride and groom for some couples photos around the area briefly and they rode back up to the reception at the top of the hill where would meet back up with them before they were introduced into the reception.

We had previously worked with Amplified events and The Silver Palm Catering and so we quickly felt at home and had an amazing time working with the perfect team and they came in straight into their first dance and then some speeches from the maid of honor, one of the best men and Hannah’s father. It was clear they were all very proud and loved the couple together, Jack had some funny stories and a little bit of a roast of his brother which was hilarious! Rebecca had a big reveal of her wedding gift and speech prop. We have to say that the gift (seen below) was very fitting for the chemistry majors and was made custom with a lot of thought and intention which was really cool! Hannah’s father then came up to thank everyone involved behind the scenes and gave a very warm thank you to the coordinator which was also both of his daughters’ elementary school teacher.

The night continued on into eating some amazing dinner, a father daughter dance along with a lot of other dancing, cake cutting and pure joy that seemed to be the general feel of the room. Come time for the exit, we coordinated everyone into two lines with the glow sticks they had purchased and they had one last big kiss and drove away into the night as newly weds! Cheers to the Folsoms and we wish you both many happy years of marriage and look forward to seeing what the future holds for you!

Keith & Megan Engagement Session

5-11-2019

Keith an Megan are just the most adorable couple that are just smitten with each other. We met them at Hammond’s Ferry in North Augusta South Carolina to do a shoot with Keith’s immediate family. We captured many sweet moments with the family as we walked all around the beautiful town. After a while we set off to Brick Pond Park just down the road from where we started and captured some intimate moments between Keith and Megan and their adorable love!

Sadly half way through their engagement shoot it started to rain so we decided to do a part two on another date, which is why we ended up getting such amazing diversity for their session.

We were shocked at the part two portion of the shoot when we got to Pendleton King Park and saw all the breath taking blooms. We have done many shoots at this spot but never before seen this show of colors in their gardens.

We are looking forward to a bright future for these two as they set a date and begin planning for their wedding!

Jeremy & Julianna

4-27-2019

Jeremy and Jules are such a cool couple! We met them at a bridal expo last year and come to find out we had mutual friends that we have done acting headshots for quite a bit. We met up with them later over coffee and just hanging out and remember it like it was yesterday and just talking about their love for one another and all things Harry Potter among a bunch of other films that we love to nerd out over! We have to say that we had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time for a lot of reasons and it was such a perfect day! They have surrounded themselves with so many fun, loving and hilarious people and the special touches like her Grandfather’s pocket watch and the green dresses and ring that goes with Julianna’s birth stone were so personal and perfect! The girls started off their day at the Hilton Garden Inn in Augusta and then everyone met up at the beautiful Savannah Rapids Pavilion for the ceremony and reception. We know they’ll continue to be an amazing couple and we’re excited to see what married life will hold in store for them!
